Kris Jenner Says Bruce Jenner Had “Man Boob Situation,” Blames Transition For Split — Caitlyn Says It Was “Mistreatment”
Kris Jenner says Caitlyn Jenner had a “man boob situation” during their marriage, and says her transition is the reason they divorced. Caitlyn, however, insists that the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch’s treatment of her is to blame for their split.
Kris was interviewed for Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover story (see a picture right), and it’s clear they have very different recollections of Caitlyn’s gender issues. “When I met Bruce, he told me that he had done hormones back in the early 80s. This was a conversation that took place in the early 90s. So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it,” says Kris. Caitlyn claims, though, she told Kris she was taking hormones “up until the year they met,” which was 1990.
While Caitlyn says she was a “good solid B cup” when she embarked on the relationship, Kris alleges there was a “little bit of a man boob situation,” but “no B cup going on.” As for wearing female clothing, the Jenners apparently had an arrangement where Caitlyn would dress as she wished when traveling alone, but never at home. “A few times I would see a suitcase or things lying around the house,” she tells Vanity Fair. She goes on to say, “There wasn’t a gender issue. Nobody mentioned a gender issue. Somebody mentioned that he at one point in his life liked to dress up.”
So, how did things fall apart then? Caitlyn says, “The first 15 years I felt she needed me more because I was the breadwinner… Then really around [‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’], when that hit and she was running this whole show and getting credit for it and she had her own money, she didn’t need me as much from that standpoint. The relationship was different.”
“I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. Then I’d get upset and the whole relationship kind of fizzled,” she continues, adding, “A lot of times she wasn’t very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money… all that kind of stuff.”
For her part, Kris tells the magazine of her ex-husband, “He was married to me and he wasn’t who he wanted to be so he was miserable… All I was doing was working very hard for my family so that we could all have a wonderful future, and he was pissed off.” She further says, “At the end of my relationship with Bruce he definitely had a lot of social anxiety… That was one of the reasons we were in a struggle at the end. We fought a lot because we would go out together and before we got to the end of the block we were in a fight because he started saying, ‘When can we go home?’”
Kris says she wasn’t fully informed of Caitlyn’s gender struggles until after their separation, something she tearfully slammed him for on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce,” as Gossip Cop reported last month. She rhetorically asks now, “Why would you want to be married and have kids if this is what you wanted since you were a little boy? Why would you not explain this all to me?”
But Caitlyn is adamant about the cause of their divorce from her perspective. “Twenty percent was gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated,” he says. That said, she also acknowledges that it was “probably a mistake I made was maybe not having her understand — not the severity of it but that this is a condition you cannot get away from. From that standpoint maybe I blew it away a little bit, sort of ‘This is what I do.'”
While many of the Kardashians and Jenners have proudly shared the Vanity Fair cover on social media, Kris hasn’t at the time of this posting. What do you think of the exes’ comments?
