MAG: Kris Jenner’s Bad Influence “Destroyed” Kim Kardashian At Young Age

Kris Jenner destroyed Kim Kardashian by molding into her into a “Mini Me” and “monster,” claims In Touch.

In a splashy cover story, the magazine alleges that Jenner pushed Kardashian “to have sex at 14″ and otherwise shaped her daughter at a young age with “questionable values.”

In Touch cites a “family friend” who believes Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries was “encouraged” by Jenner, who supposedly “won’t rest until Kim is married to an A-lister.”

The tabloid says “the idea of marrying for money and fame” was “instilled in Kim as a child,” and somehow “driven home in the way [Jenner] stayed married but flaunted” her alleged affair 20 years ago with Todd Waterman, whose theories form the backbone for the In Touch article.

Um, if Jenner is supposedly obsessed with “marrying for fame” and has complete control over her “Mini Me” daughter, as In Touch claims, then why did she sign off on the Humphries marriage in the first place?

But dubious internal logic is not the article’s only failing.

The bait-and-switch cover, which makes the rather serious allegation that Jenner “pushed” Kardashian to have sex at 14, corresponds to nothing in the article itself.

There’s a vague reference to Jenner being “permissive about sex” and giving Kardashian “the green light to have sex in her teens.”

We’re not exactly sure how that equates to the implied pimping advertised on the cover.

In any case, the entire article is an exercise in sensationalism and gross exaggeration.

It’s true that Jenner is not only Kardashian’s mom – she’s also her manager.

She’s involved in her daughter’s career and obviously has influence in her personal life.

But the notion that Jenner’s infidelity when Kardashian was a child turned her daughter “into a monster” is a leap that needs actual facts and specifics to be believable.

A source close to the family tells Gossip Cop that In Touch’s assertions are “ridiculous.”

    These stories are always “source close to” never revealing the source. However, I believe that it’s probably true. Kris Jenner is the ultimate stage mother times 10. She has pushed and promoted, (and forced?) ALL of the kids into becoming famous and probably pushed for the divorce to sell the story after selling the wedding. Money, fame and greed seem to be her values. What mother wants her daughter to pose naked in PBOY?

    Gossip Cop, you have NOTHING to refute these claims. Even in the unlikely scenario where you contacted anyone at all, they surely wouldn’t admit to it.

    I do believe that Kris’ views on appearance, sexual freedom, and the attraction of affluence affected her children adversely. She’s an awful mother and a poor example of womanhood. How come an average, non-famous mother who lives this life around her children is considered instrumental in their moral bankruptcy, but Kris Jenner is not? Is the difference the checks you get for promoting their work?

    I agree, If you have watched the show from the beginning, Kris always took Kim’s side in everything, she was always there to keep her happy, always supporting her way more that the other siblings, I used to think it was strange that Kris Jenner never really stuck up for the other kids like she did Kim, Kim is always right. Kim is Kris Jenners cash cow .

    GC anybody can say anything about anybody, when we read “sources say”, who are the freaking sources? Of course, the source will deny, so then how do we know its false? I’m, just saying………..

    I think everyone needs to leave this family alone. You do not know who these people really are.. Don’t call Kris a bad mother, even if you think so those words really hurt. She just wants what is best for her children. Maybe she does favor Kim, but the other two seems like they have such a strong bond together who does kim have?. Remember there are 3 girls one is usually left out. All I am saying is chose your words wisely. Words hurt more than anything in the world! Think about it…

    Is Kris Jenner just pure evil? I had to laugh when she married that couple on her show – she acts like she has these morals and values and she is the exact opposite of morality. I’m not surprised her children are as screwed up as they are. They don’t know right from wrong because they were taught money, power, and fame are all that matters. Just do anything you can to get it, no matter who gets hurt.

    The burden is on the accusers to substantiate their claims. There is absolutley nothing to this story period. BTW Explain to me why Goldigging Kimmy would settle for a dude who makes 1/10 her earnings when she could clearly marry an A list guy. Please.
