Kris Humphries Ex-Flame Denies Extortion Claims, Wants Retraction and Apology

For five and a half months, Kris Humphries dated Myla Sinanaj (right) on the down low, but as soon as it emerged that the basketball star had quickly rebounded after Kim Kardashian pulled the plug on their 72-day marriage, he tried to pretend he didn’t have a girlfriend.

Sinanaj, for her part, quietly dated Humphries without publicly saying a word about their relationship.

Now, however, Humphries’ lawyers are saying she’s trying to extort the athlete, claiming Sinanaj has threatened to release damaging information about him and their romance if he doesn’t pony up big bucks.

In fact, TMZ reported on Monday that Humphries attorneys contacted the FBI over the alleged extortion plot.

One problem: Sinanaj’s high-powered lawyer Joe Tacopina tells Gossip Cop she “never asked for $1″ from Humphries, and he’s defying the basketball player’s legal eagles to produce an e-mail or a text in which she did.

What’s at the root of all of this, says Tacopina, is that Humphries didn’t want their relationship made public because the Nets forward is claiming in court that he was duped by Kardashian into a fraudulent marriage, and left brokenhearted — for which he’s seeking damages.

Of course, if Humphries were so devastated by Kardashian, says Tacopina, why was he in a nearly six month relationship with Sinanaj, during which the made ”1,000 calls” to her,  and had her sit court side with wives and other girlfriend at Nets home games?

Sinanaj’s attorney questions whether Humphries’ side even really called the FBI, since he maintains there is nothing in her correspondences with the NBA player that could be construed as extortion.

For her part, Sinanaj wants Humphries and his lawyers to retract their statements about her and issue an apology .

Tacopina hints there could be legal ramifications otherwise.

As they say in basketball, the ball is now in Humphries’ court.

    Always knew he wasn’t the victim that he tried to play. All the bashing that Kim K got and this guy is no better then she is. At least she had the guts to end a relationship she wasn’t happy in regardless of the public backlash. It seems however that this douche would rather be sly and try and date someone without letting on to the public. It’s a bit hard to play the victim when your clearly not that upset that your marriage is over. Seems Kris likes to make claims in court that tarnish other peoples reputation, this is no different then him claiming he was conned into marriage. Dude likes to play the victim. Hope women wake up and see what this guy is really about.

    It’s about out time people see the truth about this guy. He’s doing the same thing that he claimed(lied) that Myla was doing to him (trying to extort money). This guy is a bully of epic proportion. I’m glad Myla has an attorney that just stopped the bullies(Kris and his Lawyers). I hope that Kim is just as successful in proving that Kris is a liar and money hungry fool. It was all about the money from the get go and not that he had a broken heart. You see I think Myla worked at the hotel where the show was taped in NY. Who knows if he was hitting on her while he was married. To Myla’s credit she didn’t go near him till 2 months after the divorce. I’m sure this is part of the evidence that he wanted her to sign a confidentiality agreement for.I’m also wondering if he lied or fabricated evidence to the FBI. If he has he’s got more trouble than he ever dreamed of.

    I agree. I knew from the beginning that he wasn’t the victim & it really confirmed my thoughts when the public found out about this relationship. Kris just wants n to milk all the publicity he can from Kim. I hope the judge doesn’t grant him any money after this.

    I agree that just because she said she didn’t doesn’t make it true. However, my theory of this is…

    It was reported by TMZ that Kris and his lawyer were trying to come up with a confidentiality agreement where she couldn’t talk about their relationship and he was going to offer her money to go with it. I think that when they were trying to negotiate a dollar amount, he didn’t want pay her as much as she wanted and so now he is claiming she is trying to extort him.

    This explanation seems reasonable to me!

    That might be that way it was, but that still doesn’t make his claims of extortion true. It is not extortion if she just wont agree to the amount of money he has offered. She has every right to not agree to what ever he has offered her. It’s only extortion if this was her idea and plan and if she tells him she will start talking if he doesn’t pay her. The fact that she is sticking to her story and pretty much asking him to prove it in court tells me that she is telling the truth. I lair very rarely goes the whole way to court knowing that they will be proven a liar. If he has the proof then he should use it, instead he likes to make outlandish comments about the other person to the media. The guy is class A, douche. Kim Kardashian was lucky to get out when she did because this guy has all the markings of an abusive man.

    Totally agree…I knew there was 2 sides of the story and I never believed Kris was the heart-broken guy he tried to show. His girlfriend before Kim looked like Kim too and when he first started dating Kim she came out and said he had broke up with her, and use to bash Kim and her family all the time. “What you do in the dark will come out in the light”. If it wasn’t over money then Kris should just have signed the papers and moved on. Now he is making himself look bad.

    Myla said she didn’t ask for money. Dumbass says something and what followers he still has left act like he can do no wrong. Everything lately has shown that there is no limit with what kh will go to when it comes to hurting someone for his own gain. He is so mean and such a bully. Its scary to think what he would do to a woman that he would b married to for. A long period of time. Its been n the public ete with how much of a bully he is. Its a good thing Kim gpt when she did. He could have seriously hurt her.
