Kris Humphries is “100 Percent Sure” He Didn’t Give Herpes to Woman Suing Him

Kris Humphries is “100 percent sure” he did not give herpes to Kayla Goldberg, a woman who filed a lawsuit in L.A. on Wednesday against the basketball player, claiming she contracted the venereal disease after sleeping with him on or around August 31, 2010.

Goldberg alleges that she hooked up with Kim Kardashian’s onetime husband at L.A.’s Trousdale night club, and then went back to his hotel room, where they had sex multiple times.

She also said in court papers that they had oral sex, and that Humphries did not wear a condom during part of their encounter.

According to Goldberg’s suit, a week later she was diagnosed with the sexually transmitted disease.

She’s suing for sexual battery, claiming Humphries knew he had the STD, as well as emotional distress and fraud.

Goldberg’s seeking unspecified damages.

But Gossip Cop is now told Humphries is fighting back.

His rep tells us the claim that he gave her herpes is “completely bogus.”

According to Humphries’ people, Goldberg’s attorney reached out to the ball player’s lawyer last winter — during his NBA contract negotiations — and demanded $24 million, noting the young woman wouldn’t “take anything less than $1 million,” or she’d go public.

Humphries is “100 percent sure she did not contract [herpes] from him,” says his rep, and refused to entertain her multimillion-dollar demands.

What’s particularly notable in Goldberg’s papers is that there are four other unnamed defendants, whom she claims may have given her herpes.

Hmm…

Humphries’ rep tells Gossip Cop his side is going to be “relentless” in fighting this suit.

    A week after intercourse is awfully fast to develop herpes. It usually takes a few weeks to appear. I think I might look at one of the other unnamed defendants as the culprit here.
    I hate Humphries too but, I don’t think he is to blame here!

    It can take only 2 weeks for symptoms to show although some people never get symptoms at all. I think it’s interesting to note that it is not determined in the law suit if she is saying she caught genital herpes or if she caught herpes simplex 1. She mentions oral sex and him not using a condom for part of their encounter. It says they had sex multiple times but it doesn’t say it was unprotected. You can’t get genital herpes from giving oral sex to someone who has it but you could catch it if he had a cold sore on his lip and he went down on her. Either way it’s going to be pretty hard to prove that he gave it to her with the knowledge that he already knew he had it. If she is having unprotected sex with multiple people then it’s pretty idiotic for her to think she isn’t going to catch something eventually.

    Your a judgy one aren’t you. This notion that if a women has sex with more then one person then she is a slut, is a bit redundant don’t you think. It’s fine for a man to be out there having sex with whom ever they choose but if a women does the same, then “Oh no, she is a slut”. I find it so amusing how women are the main ones who brand other women as sluts. We spend so much time hating on men, calling them pigs but when it comes down to it the majority of men aren’t going around bad mouthing and name calling other women. Most men are much less judging then any women could ever be. A women can have sex with however many people as she wants. It doesn’t make her a slut but I does make her an idiot if she doesn’t use protection. It’s pretty clear that this women is out for a payday, I don’t for one second believe her claims but your stance on other women shows your ignorance.

    If it had been a guy I would have called him a male slut. Maybe she should think before having unprotected sex with multiple partners. What if she’d gotten HIV instead?Or what if she’d gotten pregnant? She’d be on Maury Povich to test all these guys to find out which lucky loser is the father.

    I don’t expect women to live like nuns but I do expect them to have just a bit more respect for themselves than to sleep with any guy with a working penis.

    You ever hear of the term gigolo? That’s the term used to describe a male slut. It’s actually not okay for either gender. As far as the lawsuit goes, if he’s 100% sure, the only way that could be the case is if he doesn’t have herpes and if he doesn’t, it should be pretty darn easy to defend against the lawsuit.

    They are both nasty for having unprotected sex, I have no problem with people screwing who’d they like, like Samantha in SATC. Go for it, its your life but what I do find disgusting is the fact they did not use protection. That is what makes them nasty, IMO.

    Actually it kind of does make her a slut. If there are 4 other men who might have given it to her and then including Kris Humphries that’s 5 men meaning she probably slept with them in the span of maybe 2-3 weeks and that’s being generous. And people do call out men for sleeping with random women they’re called man-whores. I understand that your not trying to be judgmental (which is great) but come on she’s a slut.

TMZ reported the girl did have genital lesions amongst other issues, so she must have it pretty bad. Having herpes doesn’t make you a slut because you can contact the virus if you have ever had unprotected sex one time. The medical search doctors need to find a cure for this…this is a terrible.

    I’m not a fan of Kris’ at all and I think he is a hypocrite regarding his marriage to Kim. Not to mention a big jerk. Though I’m not on Kim’s side regarding the divorce either. Kim is too selfish.

    With that said… I did some research on the “herpes virus” on the medical website and it says “if you have ever had unprotected sex you could have herpes, the virus could be dormant in your body up to 20 years, some people have herpes but do not know they have the virus. The statistical fact is 8 out of 10 people have herpes and may not even know it. It doesn’t show up in test unless you have a break out and then you are tested during your breakout, there is no cure and you will have it for the rest of your life.” This is very scary.

    So I was reading some of these comments and my conscience wouldn’t let me SMH and click the next story.
    Last year, I had an “encounter” and a few days later things started to feel really really WRONG o_O so I went to GOOGLE to begin diagnosing myself. Just about every search lead to herpes. During my panicky research, I learned a few things:1. It’s an STD that you can get whether or not you’re wearing a condom..it affects the SKIN and NERVES
    2. Only about 10% of people that have genital herpes will get outward symptoms…meaning there are a grip of people that don’t know they have it and probably will never know unless they specifically ask for the test….which brings me to…
    3. The test for herpes is usually not included in STD screenings, so make sure you request it :D 4. Symptoms can appear within 4 days and they vary between people (another reason some people don’t know they have it)THIS IS ALL ON THE CDC’S WEBSITE!With that being said, I think those STD pamphlets/posters that hang up on the door @ the doctor’s office or the school nurse hands out to high school students needs to be updated. In case you’re wondering, I did go to a doctor and it turned out I had an allergic reaction to both latex and nonoxynol-9 #herpesfree

    Um hello take some responsibility for your own actions woman!! If you let a man put his penis in you with out a rubber on it…well then you run a risk of getting an std….hell my children even know this…its basic sex ed!! get a job and earn your money the old fashion way!

    How can you sue someone for giving you herpes? When you have sex with someone you hardly know and unprotected, it’s likely you will get some type of STD. I feel bad that she has this incurable disease, but it was her job to protect herself

    She could’ve had 100 partners for all I care, but having unprotected sex with someone puts you in a dangerous position especially when it’s a one night stand/stranger. Even if you’re on the pill, nothing can protect you against all the diseases out there in that case. Maybe she was looking for a payday by becoming a baby momma, but that’s not always the case.
