Kris Humphries Signs Rich Contract with Brooklyn Nets, Jabs Kanye West
12:45 pm, July 17th, 2012
Kris Humphries is moving with the Nets to Brooklyn — and getting paid plenty to do it.
The power forward and Kim Kardashian ex has agreed to a two-year deal with the NBA team worth a reported $24 million.
He averaged career highs in points and rebounds per game playing for the Nets in New Jersey last season.
The team is partially owned by Jay-Z, whose pal and Watch The Throne collaborator Kanye West is of course now dating Kardashian.
In April, West released “Cold” (previously called “Theraflu”), a track that refers to his Kardashian romance and says of Humphries, “Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.”
On Tuesday, Humphries celebrated his new contract with a tweet to Jay-Z that mocked West’s threat.
“I’m up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ ‘lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team’ lol!” wrote Humphries.
No response yet from the rapper.
