Kourtney Kardashian Gets Freaked Out Witnessing Water Birth on KUWTK (VIDEO)

There’s a good reason Kourtney Kardashian didn’t have a water birth when she welcomed daughter Penelope last month.

She was positively freaked out after witnessing someone else go through a very wet delivery, as shown on Sunday’s “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”

The expectant mother was initially intrigued by the idea of giving birth naturally at home, calling the act “empowering,” but her plans didn’t exactly get a seal of approval from sisters Kim and Khloe.

“You are crazy,” Kim told Kourtney after the three girls discussed the pros and cons.

Surprisingly, Kourtney’s longtime boyfriend Scott Disick, though initially disturbed by the idea, agreed that having the baby at home did “sound nice.”

But when Kourtney dragged Khloe along to a stranger’s water birth, both were shocked at the intensity of the delivery — particularly the amount of pain the woman appeared to be in.

“Those screams of pain are terrifying,” Kourtney admitted. “Torturous screams that will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

Khloe was similarly frightened, saying, “I don’t want to see Kourtney in this kind of pain.”

And although Kourtney was moved to tears once the baby finally came out, she ultimately decided a water birth was not for her.

“I just don’t think that a water birth is what I want to do now,” she told Khloe later.
