Kourtney Kardashian Posts Gun Range Photo After Kim Calls For Gun Control
Kourtney Kardashian posted a photo of herself at a gun range less than two days after Kim Kardashian spoke out in favor of gun control. See picture at right, and video below.
Kourtney shared the picture on her Instagram account early Thursday, perhaps as a “#TBT” offering. The snapshot shows both Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian firing guns at targets inside a practice facility. The picture is actually several years old, and was taken during an outing featured on first season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in 2007.
Kris Jenner brought Kourtney, Khloe AND Kim for “shooting practice,” explaining she wanted “somebody to teach us how to use a firearm.” In the segment, Kim said she felt “empowered” being “G.I. Jane,” and Jenner said her daughters were “very ‘Charlie’s Angels'” as each fired off a number of rounds from handguns. The matriarch then asked for something “more powerful,” and they were given an assault rifle to try out.
The visit ended with Jenner looking into getting the girls their own weapons, something that upset Khloe. “I would never bring a gun into the [DASH] store, where my little sisters hang out,” she told the camera. “My sisters and I definitely do not want guns.”
Fast forward to 2013, when Jenner clashed with then-husband Bruce Jenner over his keeping a gun in their house and taking Kendall to a firing range, as seen on “KUWTK,” as Gossip Cop reported at the time. The now-former couple had a huge fight about it, and during a later episode, they went to a gun range together to take a safety class. But she conspired with Kylie to secretly get rid of Bruce’s home weapon, only to have him come home with another.
Now jump to this week. As Gossip Cop reported, Kim was invited at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club on Monday, where she was asked about last month’s Charleston church shooting. “I’m not the type to have [guns] in my house. They scare me so much,” she responded. “If I could do something to change the world… I’m not really a gun person, and we do not have strict enough gun control laws.”
Kim did not mention her own past experience with guns, however, and Kourtney didn’t include her in the Instagram picture, for which she wrote in the caption, “Don’t mess.” It’s also worth noting that while Khloe was previously freaked out by such a weapon, she’s since been criticized for posing with guns on her Instagram, as Gossip Cop has reported.
