WATCH: Kirk Cameron Reenacts All Six Seasons Of Growing Pains In 60 Seconds!
Kirk Cameron relived his time on “Growing Pains” by reenacting all six seasons of the hit show in just 60 seconds during his Monday appearance on the Hallmark Channel’s talk show “Home & Family.”
Cameron played the smart aleck eldest son Mike Seaver on the ABC series, which aired from 1985 to 1992 and also starred Alan Thicke, Joanna Kerns, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller.
“It’s been a while, but I am amazing at how many people still remember ‘Growing Pains,'” Cameron said. “But there are the crazy fans.” The actor explained that he helps them cope with their “Seaver Fever” by giving them a quick rundown of the show. He explained, “My grandma taught me, ‘You starve a cold. You feed a fever,'” adding, “I try to feed the fever by giving them 6 seasons of Mike Seaver in 60 seconds.”
Cameron then offered to demonstrate his talent. He was so serious about his reenactment that he asked the talk show’s crew members to cue the”Growing Pains” theme song as got into character with a curly-haired wig, reminiscent of his old hairstyle. And with lightening speed, in 60 seconds, Cameron perfectly captured his interactions on the series with his parents, siblings and best friend “Boner.” It’s pretty spot-on.
