Kim Richards Facing Arrest Warrant
Kim Richards is facing a possible arrest for allegedly violating the conditions of her public intoxication plea deal.
As Gossip Cop reported, a drunken Richards was busted after causing a scene at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April of 2015. Though she was also accused of kicking a cop and was charged with battery, she was offered a plea deal that focused only on the public intoxication charge. Among the stipulations was that she had to attend 52 AA classes.
While Richards accepted the plea agreement last year, it’s now being reported that she hasn’t provided the court with any documentation proving she’s complied and been attending the sessions. Furthermore, the reality star was also ordered to do 30 days of community labor, which she initially tried to bail on with a foot injury as her excuse. Now the judge overseeing her case has apparently had enough, and is threatening to authorize a warrant for Richards’ arrest.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star initially risked going to jail for up to two and a half years. Now it’s possible the judge will rescind her probation and order Richards to serve the time. As an alternative, Richards’ probation, which was slated to last three years, could also be extended.
Gossip Cop has reached out for more information. We’ll have updates.
UPDATE: After the arrest warrant was issued with bail set at $26,000, a representative for Richards showed up in court and acknowledged they did not have proof she has been attending AA meetings or working on her community labor. Now in lieu of the warrant, a probation violating hearing has been set for June 3.
