Kim Kardashian Suing Old Navy for Using Look-Alike Model

Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy for using look-alike model Melissa Molinaro in their new ad campaign.

The reality star claims the brand intentionally used Molinaro, who bears an uncanny likeness to Kardashian, in order to mislead the public into thinking she was affiliated with the clothing giant.

The lawsuit states, “Old Navy used Kardashian’s likeness in the form of a celebrity look-alike, and styled the infringing ads to evoke Kardashian’s identity and persona.”

Kardashian is said to be suing the company for between $15 and $20 million.

To add insult to injury, Kardashian’s ex Reggie Bush is dating Molinaro.

    She’s suing because, she’s dating her ex Reggie Bush. It’s painfully clear, it’s Reggie and not Kris that she wants to marry.

    Kris is simply just the loser who actually willing to marry her. She’s still in love with Reggie and is settling for Kris.

    I’ve got to agree with Heys here. Those Old Navy commercials ran a while ago. And NOW she’s suing? I can understand if she does not watch tv but there’s other people that do & could of mentioned it to her. Timing just seems weird.

    So now is Kim going to sue everytime her “look a like” is in a commercial or on any advertisement? Kim’s just pissed cuz they found someone who could her job but for a lot less $$, and she’s jealous that she’s not one-of-a kind. Poor baby

    Actually, if you look at the picture of the two, I think Kim’s problem could be that Melissa is prettier than she is. Melissa looks younger and probably is, she has a fresh look about her and has beautiful eyes. Kim looks like an over used piece of plastic, no light in those eyes. Maybe Kim needs the money to support her new Dependant.

    I agree with Brenda. Kim looks too used up, her face is always packed with make-up and her hair is completely fake! That girl Melissa naturally looks like herself while Kim has to add on 10 lbs of improvements to her body. That girl will do anything for publicity. Just can’t wait for the day that the entire Kardashian family disapears from the face of this earth!!! Stupid move on Kim’s part….it will only garnish negative publicity and expose her as a complete and utter fame whore…as if her tv show didn’t already do that!

    It will be interesting to see how this turns out. It probably is just a publicity strategy, but it makes Kim appear even more greedy & fame-hungry. I have a feeling this could backfire big time. Time will tell.

    I’m the first to admit that the Kardashians’ multiple shows are a guilty pleasure of mine, but, even I know when enough is enough. This is stupid. This campaign has been out for how long?

    Plus, gross. He went from dating a real Kardashian to dating a fake one. I don’t know which girl should feel worse.

    Funny, cause when I first saw the commercial, I thought it was Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls. Never occurred to me that it was a KK look alike.

    Yes!!! That is what I thought also – much prettier like Nicole. Kim tends to look a bit overused. Love how she is famous for doing nothing – and now she thinks she can sue random companies for using models that have dark hair and eyes. Pretty sure she hasn’t cornered the market on those traits.

    Ironically, this could result in Old Navy getting alot of free publicity & Melissa being booked for more modeling gigs. The lawsuit may cost the Kardashian tons of $$ & be thrown out of court. That would be my ideal scenario.
