Kim Kardashian Gets Slammed By PETA for Wearing Python Boots

Truth rating: 10

Kim Kardashian is under fire from PETA yet again.

The animal rights advocacy group is blasting the reality star for wearing thigh-high Christian Louboutin python boots on the streets of Paris on Tuesday.

“They’d go well with a Dalmatian-fur coat, which is also illegal to sell in California and immoral to sell anywhere else,” says PETA spokesperson Wendy Wegner in a statement to Gossip Cop.

PETA and Kardashian have clashed before over her fashion choices.

The group supported an activist’s infamous March red carpet “flour bombing” of Kardashian for wearing fur.

Shortly thereafter, PETA also went after Kardashian’s boyfriend, Kanye West, for calling them out in a lyric in his song “Theraflu.”

What do you think of PETA’s latest attack on Kardashian?

PETA should just f**k itself with a synthetic d**k! If she wants to wear animals skins, it’s HER choice. No fan of the Kardashians, but less of a fan of people dictating what people can or can’t do legally with their money.

  • Lisa

F*ck PETA they would walk over a hungry man to help an animal. Dumb b*tches.

  • Sue

Don’t like Peta’s methods, but can not understand how anyone can think it’s OK to slaughter animals for ‘fashion’.

  • Sue

Don’t like Peta’s methods, at all, but can not understand how anyone can think it’s OK to slaughter animals for fashion.

  • Lindsey

Peta gets a bit annoying, but I do agree that it’s wrong to use animal skins unless the animal is also being used for meat. Like using cows for leather or something. If I had the willpower I’d be a vegetarian… But killing an animal only for its skin I don’t agree with.

  • Sue

Whoops, didn’t mean to post twice, but the first post disappeared, so thought I had deleted it by mistake!

  • Stephanie

She has no conscience, she can spend her money any way she wants to but Python Boots? Wonder how much Louboutin is paying her to wear them? She has to be doing it for the $$

  • Chloe

I don’t not agree with Peta’s methods at all., and I don’t wear fur. But, I will rock a pair of snakeskin, crocor boots, bag, or belt. If they through something on me for it (I’m not Kim K) whoever it is man or women… I will not be the only one having a bad day.

  • She’s Gross

To the point being made, if she can afford it, its her money…really? Should the same be said for all the other illegal activity out there, like serving endangered species at restaurants? How about buying children? How about puppies for your fur jacket, that’s OK? I realize those are extremes, but at some point, don’t you say “enough”? Its gross, she’s gross, I heard someone call her the modern day Marie Antoinette, and I couldn’t agree more. She’s the worst kind of glutton I’ve seen and her boyfriend is equally reprehensible.

  • Sue

Chloe, please research how snakes, crocodiles and alligators are killed for boots, bags and belts… Maybe you’ll feel differently. Don’t kill the cute fluffy animals, but the scaly ones are OK? I don’t get that. They feel pain too.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_63SFUJ622FEIJ65S5YKIQG425A Sophia

I am by no means a fan of Kim, or any of the Kardashians for that matter, but honestly PETA, when you continuously call out celebs, it only makes them want to wear things like that more, to make you mad. Just relax, you can’t make choices for other people.

  • Miwikitti

I’m totally against fur and exotics skins and leather and stuff, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to throw flour on her. Who knows, maybe she buys a new fur coat then?

  • Sue

I agree. Peta needs to wake up, their methods are not working and they are probably doing more harm than good.

  • Anonymous

    i like the boots…

  • Regina1180

Those aren’t boots, it looks like a prosthetic leg.

Gross no matter what they’re made of.

  • just freakin ducky

Sue maybe u can google past episodes of swamp people. Last season they did a show on how they get alligator and such skin… And they DO use the whole gator and it is not inhumane in anyway.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_63SFUJ622FEIJ65S5YKIQG425A Sophia

Agreed 100%. I understand what they stand for and such, but two negatives don’t make a positive. Throwing flour on her only makes them look bad.

  • Clumsygirl

It’s horrible! Don’t wear animals! Shame on you, Kim!

  • Vortextempest

Why dont we ask the crocodiles how they feel about this? Oh thats right were not, if you were a crocodile, snake, etc you wouldnt want others to determine what to do with your skin and your life but you are too selfish to think of anyone but yourself. Put yourself in the place of the animals, they are innocent.

  • Vortextempest

if you people were animals you would say a prayer of thanks all day long that PETA cares and sticks up for animals. They cant speak so they cant stick up for themselves, im glad someone does. Its so easy for people to turn a blind eye to the unimaginable suffering animals are put through on a daily basis. No amount of human suffering could ever equal the exploitation of animals over the centuries and none ever will but what do we care, no skin off our backs right? I do hope someday the human race will evolve into the realization that the planet does not just belong to us.It should never be survival of the strongest, it should be survival of all those placed here to share in this world of all of OURS.

  • Sue

And I’ve seen an interview with a man who works on a alligator farm who ‘bashes the brains in’ in order to kill. There may be the odd ‘humane’ (bit of an oxymoron really) farm out there, but many are not. Plus a huge percentage of skins used for fashion do not come from the US, but from countries that have no animal rights polices at all. Think about that.

  • Sue

Votex, do you really think that Peta are helping? Have you looked at their policies regarding animal euthanasia? They are the biggest hypocrites going. Their campaigns are NOT working, the fur industry is growing at a huge rate, all they are doing are turning people away from the cause. Quite frankly they disgust me. You know, every time I tell people I am involved in animals rights I have to add a disclaimer that I don’t belong to Peta or agree with their over the top tactics. There are far better animal charities out there who do real good, but Peta’s big mouth spoils it, because every animal rights campaigner is tarred with the same brush.

some people could get away with this kind of stuff but the Kardashians aren’t among that elitte few Claire Newman could get away with it because she’s actually of an era before there was sythetic replacements for animal skin/fur and besides that though her mother is retired she still has a high powered agent who could sue the hell out of anybody that tried to make a fool out of one of her daughters

I don’t agree with PETA. There is no law that says you can’t wear animal skins. PETA should try putting it into a law 1st. Their tactics are not working and never will because thy are going about it in the wrong way. There are millions of people who will wear animal skins whether Kim wears it or not. There is a lot of people who do not notice what she wears… like me.

  • Anonymous

I’m no Kardashia. Fan but I HATE that f’in PETA, who kills animals, believes we shouldn’t have pets, and generally are the biggest a-holes around. F em.

  • Sue

Actually Peta do have that bit right, it is illegal to SELL python skin in California, it is not illegal however to wear/use it, you just have to purchase it outside the state.

  • Anonymous

PETA is a scourge on society. Google them, for Christ sake, see what you’re supporting.

Loving animals and PETA do not belong in the same sentence. PETA is f**king evil. Do your homework!!

  • Anonymous

she wears the boots so that peta will complain and the media will write a story about it. It’s just more sad attention seeking behaviour.

  • Chloe

I know….and I do not care. If they will eat me then I don’t mind wearing them.

  • Trinty

I didn’t know crocodiles and snakes could talk? LOL!

  • Anonymous

This is getting so ridiculous! Seriously, PETA needs to stop with this whole thing by putting the Kardashian in the spot light!

  • just freakin ducky

OK I usually do not bother with activists butttt it kills me really bad when they start with something they have no idea of……. There is a reason why there is what is called alligator season. and why there is so many gator tags issued. It is because if they do not the gators will out number severely. And I don’t know about you but I would rather a alligator die by a single shot by the way instant. then a child who got in ones way or a dog even. Those are the cases you should be passionate about. just saying. so the way I read this back and forth with u and I wrong person who is being selfish here. and as far as not thinking about anyone but myself. I live on a 61/2 acre property. way out in the country. most around me allow hunting on their property. I DO NOT For ANY animal so wow you are why I get so pissed at all these so freakin called bleeding hearts. why don’t you put YOURSELVE in place of the parent that would have to lose their child, because someone like u faught for the rights of a freakin animal you did not do research about. and what about the family pet. think before you post try it once. wow I do apologize to everyone else that has to read this. I speak my mind out here but never this bad. caught me hard bein called selfish I am far from that.

  • just freakin ducky

I am sorry you had to watch a program that was and I agree 100% inhumane. That is not the norm though thank god. Alligator hunters bait with rotten chicken. gross. and when they see they have a gator, the fight begins. as soon as they are able to get a clean shot and they do wait for a clean shot. there is one spot only on a gator that does kill them instantly. and most of the hunters use the whole gator. but like anything else their will always be people that just don’t give a damn. I dont know what channel it would be for you where you are but if you ever see a show called swamp people give it a shot you might see it a little different. Thank you for posting without the nastiness that is not required. I do hope I helped you alittle in understanding why we must have gator season.

  • Still Gross

Exactly, and part of the point of this article, or so how I saw it.

  • http://transportit.org/ car transport to

PETA and Kardashian have clashed before over her fashion choices.

  • Vanessa

She is a tasteless vulgar famewhore. Grace Kelly she is not. Money doesn’t buy class.

  • Sue

I do understand ‘gator season’, I may not like it, or particularly agree with it, but I do understand why it’s done. My main argument would be to that is, humans choose to live in that environment and as human population grows, the natural habitat of many animals gets smaller. It’s sad, and I don’t have the answers to a better solution apart from move! Which, I know, is not always an option either.

We were, however, talking about two different things. If you look up alligator/crocodile/reptile farms, born and bred in captivity and how inhumane some of their practices are, maybe you’ll see more of where I am coming from. Also ‘gator season’ will only supply a tiny percentage of the fur and skin trade, most comes from farming, and like I said in an earlier post, from countries that have no animal welfare laws at all.

I have seen videos of animals skinned alive, left breathing, and thrown on a pile of other animals to live out the last few agonising moments of their life. Snakes, still alive, hung up on hooks until they die. That’s the reality, and if people still think it’s OK to wear fur and exotic skins, then my heart bleeds for humanity.

“Thank you for posting without the nastiness that is not required.”

There is never an excuse for nastiness, I campaign for human rights as much as animal rights. There’s room for both….

Again, I have to ask why PETA is ok with fake fur and fake leather, if the real thing is so cruel?
    Having python skin boots: criminal
Having fake python skin boots: coolest trend ever!
Like it’s ok to do as if I killed a snake to make my boots?! WTF, seriously?! Don’t promote it if your against it, real or fake, and maybe less celebrities will think it’s cool!!!!
A bunch of self promoting hypocrites… that’s the real face of PETA.

  • Big sean is mine

Well J.lo has worn the same boots, i did not hear anything. Kim is such any easy target. Coz people dont like her PETA though, i cant!!

  • chantel.x__

Lets put it this way… how about we all go out skin a person and then make boots belts coats hats and mitts out of them and start wearing them. You people make me sick.

  • Anonymous

This comment makes no sense. Of course you can promote the beauty of animals by using their colors, etc. with fake material! Using the real skins/hides is cruel. Watch how they are raised, treated, and killed. Fake is the way to celebrate them.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mary.jo.9212 Mary Jo

I’m sorry but I see a huge difference between imitating animal’s prints and imitating animal’s skins. I don’t have anything against a zebra print t-shirt, obviously. But wearing fake skin is total non-sense to me, even with your explanation.
And why are you lecturing me about animal cruelty? I don’t need to go watch anything, I know all about it. I said I hate PETA, not animals.

  • Anonymous

Sorry. I must have missed your comment that you hated PETA. Imitating animal prints and skins are the same thing. Nothing wrong with it.

  • just me

    so right!

  • Georg

Kim is not selling the skins, she is wearing them, which is exactly what I said. There is no law for wearing the skins.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mary.jo.9212 Mary Jo

I’m curious… what would you think of someone who owns a fake bear pelt or a fake moose head? (It’s a real question, i’m not trying to trick you!) I think it’s ok only if the person isn’t against hunting, and it’s the same thing for fashion. I know this analogy is a bit far-fetched, but it’s the best way I can explain the way I see things.
Anyway, even though we don’t agree, thanks for sharing your opinions: it’s always nice to have a little “confrontation”. :)

  • Anonymous

Do we really care about snakes?

  • Ellie

I’m sorry- are you actually suggesting that it’s humane to kill a living being for their skin??? Oh, but they use the whole gator so that makes it okay. There is no possible way to claim that killing any being is humane, no matter what way you go about it. Its obvious that you’re trying to soothe your guilty conscience by bringing up their overpopulation.. But in reality, humans over populated their territory, they wouldn’t be so overpopulated if they weren’t confined to such little space. What makes your dog or cat’s life any more meaningful? Because they’re cute and cuddly? Don’t think so. That’s like saying Kim Kardashian is more valuable to this society than you are because she looks better in her lingerie. Don’t think so.

Stand on the side of love. Affirm the INHERENT worth and dignity of every living being.

  • Mrsodell

really. let me cry a river. thousands and perhaps millions of children are mutilated, raped and killed around the world and I’m suppose to be upset about someone;s prerogative to wear leather and fur which isn’t illegal while people hunt and kill deer and duck for sport.

  • What

That was by far the most pathetic reply I have ever seen. First off, big snakes are a nuisance especially in Florida. If you find one, you are to report it and it will be taken in and put down. An animal doesn’t worry about what happens to its body when it dies. A freakin vulture will tear it to shreads anyways. Put yourself in the place of children living around these overpopulated predators. But you can keep asking the crocodiles how they feel about it. I’m sure they’d love your company and would respect your opinion!

  • freakinducky

Ellie I don’t know if you only picked parts you wanted to see out of my post or who knows. but as in my posts: yes I used dogs as one reason but before the pet comment if u read my entire posts not just parts. A child……….. Gators live a verrrry long time. they grow very bigggggg. They do not care what they are eating. (Its obvious that you’re trying to soothe your guilty conscience by bringing up their overpopulation) ok soothing my guilty conscience of what exactly? I lay my head down at night very easily I live to the best of my ability doing the correct thing. There is no use of my repeating my opinion on this debate is the best way to put this. But if you really are posting because you really do have an opinion and not just to be annoying to me anyways. Then re read all my posts on this topic. you choosing the pet part actually shows me you just want to annoy. Maybe I would of took you a little more seriously if you would of commented on the parent that loses their child do to a alligator that was saved by activists that in MY opinion will chose an animal over an human life. that I would of debated probably with u. Not this I won’t it is not worth my energy or my opinion…………… Just saying.
