Kim Kardashian And Kanye West NOT In “$1 Billion Divorce,” Despite Report
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are NOT in a “$1 billion divorce,” despite a new cover story from the same tabloid that has run similar outrageous and false reports about other celebrity couples. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the newest version.
It’s Wednesday’s issue of Star that blares West and Kardashian are getting a “$1 billion divorce” after Kris Jenner supposedly “forced” her daughter to “dump” him. The accompanying story claims the matriarch is “ordering” and “demanding” that West become her “ex” son-in-law. And it’s alleged Kardashian is on board and “ready to pull the plug” on her marriage.
“Kim’s tried hard to save this marriage, but it’s become unbearable,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying. “Kris finally told her that Kanye was ruining their brand and draining their money — and that she should end it as soon as possible. I believe Kim’s already secretly spoken to divorce attorneys.”
Actually, Gossip Cop already busted that divorce attorney claim when Star sister publication RadarOnline tried peddling it earlier this month. And though the magazine alleges “Kim fears” West has “blown through much of her estimated $85 million fortune,” and even claims he’s “essentially stolen millions” from her, the two actually keep their money separate from one another.
Nevertheless, the tabloid’s supposed snitch says, “I wouldn’t be shocked if he claimed in [divorce] court that he helped make the Kardashians world-famous, and therefore deserves a huge share of the entire family’s near-billion-dollar fortune.” And that’s why Star put that dollar amount on its cover.
Of course, the outlet also wanted to use the figure to attract attention. Gossip Cop has showcased how the gossip rag has a history of doing “so-and-so are getting a [insert dollar amount here] divorce” covers for some of the biggest stars in Hollywood (see photos below). And none of them have been true.
This one isn’t either. A rep for Kardashian flat-out denies the new Star cover story claims, exclusively telling Gossip Cop it’s all “false.”
