Kim Kardashian: Why I Ended the Marriage

Kim Kardashian has released a statement addressing the news that she’s filed for divorce from Kris Humphries.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,” she says.

Kardashian continues, “I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

Rather than “forever,” the union lasted just 72 days.

    Of course it was an easy decision. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t end a marriage after 72 days. I DO hope she has at LEAST enough class to return the wedding gifts to the givers. It would be the ultimate insult to her guests not to at least do that.

    Was this marriage even for real or for selling their as*** to the tabloids? Or maybe this is what they’re doing right now (again?). Anyways, I gave them three months when they were getting married (y’know: the bigger the wedding the bigger the divorce). Now I can’t believe I was soooo mistaken (sarcasm).

    The Kardashian women are known for not doing anything important. One of the women stated that all three sisters were using very expensive eye cream at a very young age. To me that is very vain. They are a very materialistic bunch too.

    I haven’t read the other threads on this but I agree with you — she SHOULD return the gifts and ESPECIALLY the $6 million ring he bought her. It spent that much money because he was hoping on forever and she dumps him after 72 days?! She ought to at least have the dignity to return the ring.

    Also, she is leaving him because she doesn’t want to leave LA? Didn’t she know what he did for a living going into this? Was she expecting him to quit his job or what?

    No I would not wrecklessly spend money on things to make me “look better” in the eyes of vain and materialistic society. I would rather spend the money on making sure my school loans were paid off, help my family with their bills as they raised me and helped me, then I would deligate the money to chairities, savings, investments and build a foundation that aided families. The only time I want to look my best is being myself and doing something positive for this country. I could care less if I was in ragged shorts and a tee-shirt, as long as I was providing for my family, being with my family and helping others, I could give a rat’s behind what I looked like.
