Kim Kardashian did NOT use only male embryos during her IVF treatment to ensure she got pregnant with a boy, despite a new report. The reality TV star shot down the tabloid rumor during an interview with the “Today” show at the Cannes Lions advertising Festival in France. Kardashian said the report was completely “false.”

According to Us Weekly, Kardashian “had only male embryos implanted” during her in vitro fertilization treatments. The tabloid quoted a so-called “source” close to Kanye West as saying, “Kanye loves [daughter] Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, a heir.” The “source” further said that Kardashian was similarly excited about implanting only male embryos because she’s always wanted “a girl and a boy.” The supposed insider adds, “Kim would have happily taken a healthy baby, but being able to choose the sex is the cherry on top.”

Kardashian herself, however, said Us Weekly’s story that claimed she only used male embryos was not true. While speaking with the “Today” show, Kardashian said the report was “false,” noting, “It came from a tabloid, and I’m grateful to just be pregnant and we would be happy with a boy or a girl.”
