Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Divorcing?

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have been the subject of near-constant split rumors ever since marrying, and Star magazine’s been leading the charge.

Earlier this month, the tabloid claimed the union was “in crisis,” alleging that Humphries was partying like he was single and that Kardashian was consulting a divorce attorney.

The story was bogus.

But Star isn’t finished beating the drum.

For this week’s cover story, the mag insists that the “crumbling” marriage could be nearing “the end,” and uses as the centerpiece of its premise the “new information that Kim may have already visited a divorce lawyer,” according to a supposed eyewitness sighting.

Here’s what actually happened.

Star‘s sister company, Radar, had a reporter reach out to a New York lawyer named Rob Wallack, saying they’d heard Kardashian had come to speak with him about a divorce.

When Wallack told them it wasn’t his policy to discuss clients or potential clients, they interpreted his non-denial to mean they were somehow on the right track.

They were not.

Gossip Cop is told, unequivocally, that Wallack did not meet with Kardashian.

The “divorce lawyer” that Star keeps dangling on its cover and in its article has nothing to do with Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.

As a point of law, Kardashian couldn’t file for divorce in New York, even if they wanted to because they haven’t established residency in the state.

Still, a source close to the couple again tells Gossip Cop that Kardashian and Humphries are having some issues — the way newlyweds do — but are trying to work them out.

    It’s my firm belief that Kim K will not leave the marriage (unless 4 reasons that’ll make her look like a “victim”) and neither will Kris. Their marriage was good for business and there’s NO WAY Kim’s gonna admit she was wrong.

Never saw Kim & Kris forever & always. Two very different individuals. Very different backgrounds & values. Kim classy, Kris?

    Kris is a total tool and Kim is a spoiled brat. It’s already been confirmed that It is over and they are trying to cover it up as long as they can. E is helping them with that by staging pictures of them sitting at restaurants, walking together, etc. The breakup is making E loose its credibility too so they are scrabbling to help string this relationship along as long as they can. There is talk that E is paying Kris and Kim to stay together for show through the holidays.

    Yea they’re real cute, especially now that this ‘marriage’ has blown up. He’s a tool who had the nerve to say Khloe wanted the spotlight, yet this nobody goes after the biggest celebrity in their family? Right. He’s a basketball player and yea that’s great & all, but Khloe had a lot more attention than he did. Both Kris & Kim kinda annoy me; Kim’s a crybaby who is given everything on a silver platter…I’d take Khloe over her anyday (at least she doesn’t put this socialite career over her man & family). But yea, whatever…awesome wedding (though the hype lasted longer than the marriage).

    Lawyer ROBERT WALLACK is a self-promoter, he is NOT a famous Celebrity Lawyer; he is not, in fact, even experienced in divorce law… look at his website, all he does is puffery, self-laudation. If you want good NYC divorce lawyers, go to google and punch in “top NYC divorce lawyers.” That’s how you find them, not with this guy.
