Kim Kardashian: Kris Humphries Holding Up Divorce Over “Personal Feelings”

The Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries divorce battle heated up in court on Friday.

The former couple’s attorneys went head-to-head over Kardashian’s contention that Humphries is dragging out the divorce proceedings with less-than-genuine intentions.

“I feel that (Humphries’) personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping this case alive,” Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser reportedly told the judge.

Wasser also pointed out that the duo have now “been separated longer than they’ve been married.”

As she urged the judge to force the case to move forward, Humphries attorney Marshall Waller insisted his team needed more time to investigate and decide whether they will claim the 72-day union was a fraud.

Key witnesses will likely be deposed in the coming weeks, he told the judge.

If the case proceeds to trial and Kardashian wins, Wasser requested that the New Jersey Nets player pay her attorney fees.

Neither star appeared in court, and the next hearing was set for August 15, according to the Associated Press.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31, one month before Humphries filed for an annulment based on fraud.

    saying that they have been separated for longer than they have been married isnt saying much… they were married a little over 2 months… it is funny how fast she moves on… and she says it was real yet it took her like 3 months to get over it and start sleeping with kw

    I still think she should return his ring. He spent a lot of money on the ring — based on a promise of forever — and didn’t get that. When asked on a morning show her own mother stated – when asked about the ring — that she didn’t think Kim should have to give it back. That just doesn’t seem right.

    But wouldn’t it say in the prenup they have who gets to keep the ring? Just wondering! But how much did he pay for the ring? I have heard 2 million but I am not 100% sure….but if he spent that kind of money on a RING he had more money than brains. I don’t care how rich you are, spending money like that is ridiculous.

    But I have heard from multiple web sources like TMZ Kris is now trying to…idk what the right word is….but he is trying not have to go by the prenup. This is wrong of him I believe. He agreed to it so he should have to stick by it! If he didn’t want to go by it, than he shouldn’t have signed it or got married! Prenups are there for protection in case you do get divorced, so he knew if they were to get divorced that, what was in the prenup was what he would get.

    Kris really needs to move on, I feel he is dragging this out for no good reason and he wants to remain in the limelight. Kris was always immature now it is like he is a spoiled kid crying because someone took his toy. They did not have property together, and it has been well over 6 months since they have been apart. Kris get on with your life sign the papers and just move on. If it was really fraud then you are to blame as much as Kim. After all you were the one on bended knee asking for her hand in marriage.

    Let Kim move on with her racist a-hole Kanye…

    If someone claims fraud in a divorce case, they are claiming fraud made on them, not the general public. In other words, he’s saying he went into the marriage with sincere attentions, and the other party didn’t, which by Kim’s own admission is true. They did have property in that they earned money together for the reality tv endeavors and were married for a short time. There are obvious issues with the divorce settlement going on. Nothing in this story tells you what’s being discussed between the parties regarding a divorce settlement so I would withhold judgment. He may have a good reason for holding this up. Kim is learning a lesson here that ending marriages are messy. She went into this marriage with little thought (again, by her own admission) as she did her first marriage which lasted longer but was an even bigger disaster, and now she’ll have to deal with the real life process of ending the marriage. 6 months is not a long time in a court system – there is a big lag between court dates. The fact they’ve been separated longer than they’ve been married says more about Kim than it does about Kris.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t actually buy the ring. Or that it’s not real, just a prop for the show. He’s probably not pushing because she doesn’t “owe” it to him. If I were her, I would just leave it alone and let the divorce go at his pace. Hopefully he’ll break whatever confidentiality agreement they signed and start yapping.

[she is a planner] she had to have someone already looking for an NBA patsy to dupe, so she could wear the ring. If she keeps it, then she bought it and will wear if and when her and idiot Kanye get hitched! I wonder if that was the 1st lie, that he bought the ring?

    I see where you are coming from but I sorta disagree. I think she wanted the huge wedding (that’s why they compared it to Prince W and Kate’s) but I also think that she wanted a marriage. But the marriage I think she wanted was one you would find in a fairy tale book. She thought she could have a fairy tale wedding but then reality hit and it wasn’t like she had planned.

    Dawn your an idiot. It is illegal for Kim to donate things they got together without Kris’ permission!!! She did it so that she could keep the money from him. Including the 400,000 car that was given to the both of them and the 2 million dollar ring. You are refering to people not knowing what was going on?? Are you personal friends of the Kardashians? Most likely NOT. Editing is a very powerful thing and it has been PROVEN that more than a few of the scenes from KKTNY were greatly fake. He did not throw a ‘big bash’…some of his douche bag friends invited all of those people over. And when he went to canada while she was in conn. well that was super false because those two events happened on two seperate weekends. So what she is allowed to go out and do whatever she wants but he is to stay at the end of her leash. Kris does not believe in divorce because he is actually a Christian man and he wanted to work on the marriage. If you left your husband just because of a party well then you’re no better than Kim and lets face it your marriage is probably doomed anyway.

    come on guys, how mant time have we seen him (kris) on TV after the 72 days, how many time have we seen her and KW on TV. Kris is sitting back and waiting for the courts to do what right and as we all know it may not be his right, but all I am saying is who is putting herself outthere for the bad coments, he getting on with his life and playing ball, she is front and center, already to move in with KW and don’t get me on him a the TV awards and what he did.. And as for the gifts I was married to my first husband 12 years and I still gave him the option of getting the big gifts that his family had give to us.
