Kim Kardashian & Kanye West NOT Naming New Home “Highclere Castle” (EXCLUSIVE)
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not going to name their new home in Hidden Hills, California “Highclere Castle,” the real name of the massive residence used for the show “Downton Abbey,” despite a numbers of reports. Gossip Cop spoke to Kardashian’s rep, and was exclusively told that any claims about them calling their new home or even designing it to resemble Highclere Castle is absolutely “false.”
Places like RadarOnline reported the story, quoting the equally unreliable The Sun as saying that not only do they want to name their new house after the famed British castle that serves as the backdrop for “Downton Abbey,” but they also are having it built to resemble “its grandeur and regalness.” The outlets add that West calls Kardashian “Lady,” and that he fancies himself a “cooler version” of Lord Grantham, the fictitious owner of “Downton Abbey.”
Then to prove how little it knows, RadarOnline notes that Kardashian has previously talked about “Downton Abbey,” admitting, “I’m a big fan. I’d love to be on it if they asked.” Actually, as Gossip Cop exclusively reported in September, Kardashian never said those things. Her rep told us the quotes about her wanting to be on the series were made up by The Sun.
Regardless, even though Kardashian and West bought a $20 million estate that sits on 3.5-acres and has two pools and two vineyards, Karadashian’s rep tells Gossip Cop the magnificent property will not be named after Highclere Castle nor will it be a replica of the regal-looking residence.
