Kim Kardashian: “I Might Need A Hysterectomy”
Kim Kardashian says she “might need a hysterectomy” after she gives birth to her baby boy. The reality star made the revelation on her website on Monday, as well as shared details about the scary ordeal she went though when delivering her daughter North.
In a post titled, “High Risk Pregnancy,” Kardashian notes she’s nervous about giving birth this time because she suffered from two conditions known as preeclampsia and placenta accreta when she was carrying North.
Kardashian has said in the past that preeclampsia is what caused her face and body to swell and to go into labor six weeks early with North. Now, she’s opening up about about how her health took a turn for the worse after giving birth to her daughter. “Right after delivery, the placenta usually then comes out. Mine did not,” Kardashian writes on her website. “My placenta stayed attached inside my uterus, which is a condition called placenta accreta.”
Kardashian further explains that her placenta grew too deeply into her uterine wall. “My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails. How disgusting and painful!!! My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before.”
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star reveals she not only has an increased risk for those conditions again, but there’s also a possibility it can get worse. “In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough,” she writes before adding her doctor doesn’t think that will be the case.
Though he anxiety level is “little high,” Kardashian says she trying to “go with the flow,” as her due date draws closer. Tell Gossip Cop what you think of Kardashian’s high-risk pregnancy confession?
