Kim Kardashian Has NOT “Gained 65 Pounds,” Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Kim Kardashian has NOT “gained 65 pounds,” despite a mean-spirited and body-shaming tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report. A rep tells us the expectant Kardashian is actually quite “healthy.”
The new cover of Star, which hit newsstands on Wednesday, exclaims she’s in the midst of a “nightmare,” while the accompanying story says she’s in a “baby-weight battle” after “ballooning” during her second pregnancy. Noting how Kardashian said last month that she’s gained 20 pounds so far, the magazine claims she’s actually in “deep denial” about the true amount. That’s right — Star wants people to believe that Kardashian has since TRIPLED that amount in just a few weeks.
A so-called “insider” alleges to the tabloid that Kardashian “can’t stop eating,” and that her appetite is “insatiable.” And Star even cites a “celebrity body and beauty expert,” who has NEVER worked with the star, as saying “she looks to be closing in on 200 pounds.” Of course, that number was also thrown around by the tabloids during Kardashian’s first pregnancy.
And this deja vu is making Gossip Cop feel like we’re the ones with morning sickness. Kardashian is obviously an easy target, because Star and its ilk repeatedly use unflattering paparazzi shots and photos of the star eating to portray her in the most negative light. In fact, it seems Star decided to say Kardashian “binges on donuts” just because she recently posted a photo of herself eating beignets in New Orelans.
She just can’t win or do right by the judgmental gossip mill. After she was criticized for not looking pregnant enough, now she’s getting attacked for her completely normal growth in size. Kardashian herself even addressed embracing her pregnancy curves last week, but still outlets are attempting to shame her for it.
And Star’s story isn’t just mean. It’s also just plain wrong. Kardashian’s rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop that she’s “fine” and “healthy.” The spokesperson also calls the folks at Star “idiots” for its sensational claims, a characterization we agree with.
