Kim Kardashian NOT “Dumped On 2nd Anniversary,” Despite Report
Kim Kardashian was NOT “dumped on her 2nd anniversary,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. First off, Kardashian and Kanye West’s anniversary isn’t until May 24, more than a month away. But more importantly, the couple is still very much together.
You wouldn’t know that from the new issue of In Touch, which hit newsstands on Wednesday announcing “Kim’s Humiliation.” Inside the magazine, a headline declares, “Kim Kardashian braces for divorce No. 3 as Kanye West says he’s done.” According to the accompanying story, “Nearly two years after they said ‘I do’ in an over-the-top ceremony in Florence, Italy, Kim and Kanye’s marriage is over — and he’s consulting with his lawyers about filing divorce papers.”
Revealing its sensational cover to be a bait-and-switch, the outlet quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Kanye has had enough, and he is going to dump her on their second anniversary in May. Kim will be mortified. It will be the ultimate humiliation for her. There’s no turning back now.”
“She’s known the marriage has been over for a long time,” the supposed snitch goes on to say of Kardashian. The rest of the piece is filled out with claims about West’s supposed financial woes, his alleged post-baby body-shaming, and his desire to get custody of their kids amid “nonstop fighting.” The tabloid further adds, “While Kanye is readying to dump Kim, she is distancing himself from him more than ever.”
That’s funny, because at the time this story went to press, West was with Kardashian and her family on vacation in Colorado. The joint trip came just after West touted on Twitter that he doesn’t decide on anything, from music to homes, without his wife’s approval, and after Kardashian has shared a number of photos and videos on her new Snapchat documenting their time together.
And this cover story is coming from the same gossip rag that falsely claimed in 2014 that Kardashian and West’s marriage was “over after 58 days.” In Touch also wrongly alleged she was “dumped” on their first wedding anniversary last year. In fact, this new cover is almost an exact replica of that issue, and is coming out exactly a year later (see below).
It’s actually laughable how much tabloids like In Touch rely on the same tricks over and over, ultimately proving they really know nothing. A rep for Kardashian exclusively confirms to Gossip Cop there is zero truth to the divorce claims.
