Kim Kardashian Donates Twice the Value of Wedding Gifts to Charity

Kim Kardashian finally got around to donating her wedding gifts to charity — but she made up for the delay by doubling the $100,000 sum.

Kardashian sent out a letter to her wedding guests that reads, “I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift.  It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation.”

The reality star estimated that her wedding gifts amounted to approximately $100,000, but she sent a check to the charity for $200,000, says a source.

A spokesperson for the foundation tells Gossip Cop in a statement, ”As a longtime supporter of Dream Foundation, it was no surprise to us that Kim would find a way to take a difficult time in her life and use it to make a positive impact on others.”

“While the situation behind her generous donation (which represents the symbolic value of the gifts she received) is unfortunate, we’re grateful for the support this lends to our ongoing mission to care for families battling terminal illness.”

The Dream Foundation supports individuals suffering from life-threatening illnesses with a final wish, sort of like a Make-A-Wish Foundation for adults.

    Even a donation is for publicity, how pathetic is that. When we donate it is heartfelt and private, no press releases needed. This person just stoops so low in every aspect of her life, also the person who said it’s a tax write off is correct. So she got her publicity and a write off, win win for the low life uneducated golden shower queen.

    only greedy people do this. doing things only for media attention goes hand in hand with greed. why would she want to keep the gifts since obviously the marriage did not work out. Yes the gifts should go back. but then again, kk does everything for herself and does not care for anyone else. does this really surprise anyone??? This girl is running out of things to pay the media to run about her…..good riddance

    Kim donates a lot to charities throughout the year. The media doesn’t like to post things like that to give credit to her. Her good out ways her bad when it comes to all the money she gives.
