Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries Divorce Finally Going to Trial on May 6

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are set — finally — for their divorce showdown.

On Friday, Judge Scott Gordon of Los Angeles County Superior Court set a May 6 trial date, despite the objections of Humphries’ legal camp.

The NBA player has attempted to delay divorce proceedings since the former couple’s October 2011 split, attempting to gain an annulment on the grounds that his 72-day marriage to Kardashian was allegedly fraudulent.

Kardashian, meanwhile, has been anxious to resolve the matter before she welcomes a child with Kanye West this summer.

After months of wrangling — and one of Humphries’ lawyers quitting the case on Thursday — the endgame now appears to be in sight.

Earlier on Friday, a judge ruled that the case is ready for trial, determining that Humphries’ team had had sufficient time to prepare.

May 6 should mark the beginning of the end for the Kardashian-Humphries union.

    I don’t think he’s got anything to stand on – his lawyer quit because of that. He should just suck it up and let the divorce go through already. He’d be in just as much trouble if it was fraud anyways, he participated.

    His lawyer quit b/c he was either threatened or paid off or both by the kartrashians. And no he wouldn’t be in as much trouble – he did not participate in anything fraudulent – it was solely Kim. He entered into the marriage for the correct reasons, she did not.

    Guy is a douche, he should just be a man and move on. If her having a baby with another man isn’t enough for him to swallow his pride and grant her a divorce then he clearly is only in this to make Kim suffer.

    Ummm how about not getting pregnant by another guy while you are still married to someone? How the heck is he the douche?! This has nothing to do with pride. It’s about standing your ground and doing what’s right.

    I have to agree with you on this one. Kris tried to delay the divorce again today and the judge told his lawyer, that they have had more then enough time to prepare for the divorce. Now there are rumors that Kris is going to get trade from the Nets to a very unpopular team. Kris has really screwed himself acting like a big baby.
    This is the 2nd Lawyer that quit on Kris…I think that says a lot.

    What about Kris getting that girl pregnant then claiming he wasn’t even dating her, all of a sudden she isn’t preggers anymore and she is going to court saying she and Kris never dated. Then shortly after her court date, he is busted with her and he gave her his car, ( was it a pay off gift)? It sure looked as if he paid her off. It was caught all on tape by TMZ. Kris is just as bad as Kim if not worst. He is a big douche….

    IMO Kim got carried away by fairytale wedding desires, attention, & her ‘clock’ was ticking. This was all at the expense of Kris. However, I think Kris should count his blessing he is out of it all, & walk away with some dignity.
