“It’s All About The Ka$h! Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Refuse Charity Donation To Settle Lawsuit With YouTube Founder Over Engagement Video,” screams the headline of a new RadarOnline story.

According to the webloid, Chad Hurley, who taped and then leaked their engagement, offered to “donate a sizeable sum to a charity in their names, but West and Kardashian are “gunning for a huge settlement FOR THEMSELVES.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Kardashian and West sued Hurley for leaking the proposal video on the new video company MixBit. Hurley, for his part, claimed he didn’t know he wasn’t allow to film the proposal. The footage of West proposing to Kardashian later aired on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Regardless, a so-called source now tells RadarOnline, “Chad wanted to make a donation to a charity just to make [the lawsuit] go away… But Kim and Kanye didn’t want the money to go to a charity, they want it to go directly to them.”

Really? Nope. A source close to the situation says the blog’s claims are “false.” RadarOnline hasn’t exactly always been accurate about Kardashian and West. Just six weeks ago, the webloid reported — well after the April Vogue cover had already been shot — that West “demanded” why the magazine’s editor Anna Wintour had not put Kardashian on the cover. Whoops.
