Kim Kardashian: “I Post Too Many Bikini Selfies For Some People”
Kim Kardashian addressed her bikini selfie obsession during a speech on Wednesday at the Cannes Lions Festival in France, admitting that some people may find her endless picture-taking to be a bit too much. “I have really stayed true to myself on Instagram,” said Kardashian. “Maybe I post too many bikini selfies for some people, but my Instagram page is exactly what I want.”
Kardashian continued by saying that she realized some of her brands may not like her selfies either “because I don’t promote as much as they would like, but I only do it if it’s authentic, if I genuinely love it.” She added, “I also say that my Instagram is off limits in business contracts. I’ve actually unfollowed people who post too many brand-related Instagram pictures because I don’t believe in it. I can smell it a mile off.”
As far as how the pregnant reality TV star has attracted millions and millions of social media followers, Kardashian revealed she doesn’t necessarily have a strategy, but makes sure she’s the only person who posts from her accounts. “I don’t have a team doing it for me. I am not knocking anyone else that does that, but I don’t find it to be authentic, if you are talking about personal things and sharing personal photos,” noted Kardashian.
The E! star also talked in her speech in Cannes about her highly-successful mobile video game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” admitting that husband Kanye West talked her into trying it. “The game is you just want to make in Hollywood, you want to make it to the A-list and get as many fans and followers and cool wardrobes as possible… We really mirror my real life, and make it in real time,” said Kardashian. She added, “I feel excited that we brought a female fan base to the gaming world. I think that it has been a new venture for me and scary for me to step into such a male-dominated world.” What do you think about Kardashian admitting her obsession with bikini selfies may a bit too much for some people?
