Kim Kardashian “Anxious” To Deliver Breech Baby Boy
Kim Kardashian is “anxious” about her upcoming delivery because her baby boy is currently in a breech position. In a new post on her website and app, titled “Heads Up,” Kardashian writes about her latest concerns for baby boy West, and what she’s doing to address them.
Kardashian begins by saying she’s up at 4 a.m., and anxious about beginning her 36th week of pregnancy. As Gossip Cop reported, in her last post Kardashian revealed her traumatic placenta issues, but now says she hasn’t thought much about them lately. Instead, she has a new concern: her baby boy is in a breech position. She explains, “His head is still up and it’s supposed to be down.” In fact, the baby was supposed to have turned four weeks ago.
While most women, whose babies are facing the wrong way, have a C-sections, Kardashian writes that her physician is one of the few doctors trained to deliver breech babies without surgery. That said, the soon-to-be mother of two is doing everything she can to turn the baby around.
“I lay practically upside down three times a day for 15 minutes. I play music in the right position and ice my belly in certain spots to get him to squirm out of the breech position,” she writes. Kardashian then admits she’s even tried acupuncture, in which “I burn moxa (mugwort) on my pinky toe every day! I am even attempting hypnosis!” Kardashian ends her post saying she also plans to try Version or ECV, a medical procedure that turns the baby from the breech position, but cautions her readers before they look up the “painful and scary” procedure.
Even though Kardashian, who is expected to deliver in December, is doing everything in her power to turn the baby around, and her doctor is trained to vaginally delivery breech babies, she says she will get a C-section, if need be. “Obviously, if it’s an emergency and for the safety of my son, I will get a C-section — but if I don’t need one, I’d rather not.”
