Kim Kardashian Gets Apology From Carl’s Jr. CEO: We “Love” Her And Would “Work With Her Again”
Kim Kardashian is now getting an apology from Carl’s Jr. CEO Andy Puzder after he recently slammed her, saying she was almost cut her from her 2010 commercial because she “wasn’t good at eating the burger.” In a statement to Gossip Cop, Puzder clarifies his previous comments, and says, “We love Kim… and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.”
Following the Carl’s Jr. CEO’s past remarks in which he felt Kardashian lacked enthusiasm while promoting the burger chain, now Puzder tells Gossip Cop, “I’d like to apologize to Kim and clarify my remarks.” He explains, “At the time we were looking to cast our newest hamburger commercial, Kim, our top pick, was going low-carb and couldn’t eat the burger on the bun.” Puzder adds, “However, she was perfect for the new salads we were introducing, so we hired her for that now iconic campaign instead” (see commercial below). The burger restaurant CEO stresses, “We love Kim. She was an absolute joy to work with, and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.”
As Gossip previously reported, Carl’s Jr.’s CEO was quoted as saying of Kardashian and her commercial, “You really need to be able to eat the burger like you’re loving it,” which she did not. But the reality star’s rep noted that Kardashian was putting out a fitness DVD coinciding with the Carl’s Jr. commercial and only wanted to eat foods “that fit her image.” What do you think of Carl’s Jr. CEO Andy Puzder’s apology to Kardashian?
