Kim Cattrall Starring On ‘Sex And The City’ Spinoff Series?
Kim Cattrall is NOT starring on a “Sex and the City” spinoff series that would supposedly focus on her character Samantha Jones, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
According to Star, the actress is working with HBO to create a new show all about her “man-eating character.” A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “It’s certainly unusual to have a show about a woman in her 60’s sleeping with younger men, but HBO is all about pushing limits.” The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to claim Sarah Jessica Parker also plans to appear on the series and is “eyeing this as her next project.”
“Sarah knows people love the franchise so she’s totally game,” adds the questionable insider. “And Kim is in amazing shape and still beautiful. She’s blown away that this project could happen and more than ready to be a cougar again.” Unfortunately, “Sex and the City” fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. Gossip Cop looked into the story, and sources close to Cattrall and at HBO tell us there’s no such spinoff project in the works.
In fact, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to bust a false rumor regarding the franchise. We previously corrected Star’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting that Parker was demanding $50 million to star in Sex and the City 3. That story was completely inaccurate, and the same goes for this latest one.
