Kida and Fik-Shun pulled off another incredible hip-hop routine on “So You Think You Can Dance” on Monday. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, aspiring dance star Kida is paired with “All-Star” Fik-Shun for season 13 of the Fox competition, which is all about highlighting the “next generation” of dancers. Kida originally had some competition with fellow hip-hop contestant Sheaden, and still has to worry about the powerful threat that is Tahani. But his talent, especially when working with Fik-Shun, continues to shine through.

After a two-week hiatus due to the Olympics, Kida returned to the stage for a new live performance that was choreographed by Luther Brown. In rehearsal, Maddie Ziegler said expectations would be “high.” Thankfully, Kida and Fik-Shun didn’t disappoint.

Nigel Lythgoe noted that, originally, they kept urging Kida to show his personality more, in addition to his skills. “It’s shining out there now for everybody to see, and that’s wonderful,” he said. Paula Abdul declared, “It’s proof in the pudding each week.”

“Kida, you come out here and you develop on a level that’s just brilliant,” she said. Abdul even added, “It’s becoming boring to keep complimenting you, to be quite honest with you.”

Ziegler particularly loved that the routine was “strictly hip-hop,” instead of having a theme or a gimmick. “The only way to describe it is you guys have swag,” she said. Jason Derulo agreed, explaining how today’s hip-hop style requires dancers to fill quieter, slower moments with their “swag.” That’s exactly what you did today, so hats off to you,” he told Kida.

Later in the show, Kida received a standing ovation for his paso doble duet with fellow contestant Tate. Watch the full videos below!
