Khloe Kardashian: Lamar Odom Was Able To “Walk Out” Of Hospital “On His Own”
As Gossip Cop reported, Odom was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week, almost three months after his near-fatal overdose. The basketball player is expected to be in extensive rehab treatment for the foreseeable future, though his prognosis remains unclear. Kardashian, however, gave an update on her estranged husband’s condition on Friday’s “Live With Kelly and Michael.”
“He’s doing good. I’m very happy to report he’s doing great,” said the reality star. “It’s such a relief. it was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”
She continued, “We were able to leave the hospital — he was able to walk out of the hospital. And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m so happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”
Kardashian further confessed that Odom’s hospitalization actually inspired her haircut. “I cut all my hair off because I was in the hospital and I just felt like I needed — like once I got out of there for a minute, I was like, ‘I need to get rid of this negativity.'” She acknowledged, “You shouldn’t do haircuts when you’re that emotionally confused, but I did.”
Kardashian also spoke about her weight loss and new talk show, and why her New Year’s resolution is to “be nicer” to her mom, Kris Jenner. Watch the full interview below.
