Khloe Kardashian: My Staph Infection “Is No Joke,” But “I’ll Be Better Soon”
Khloe Kardashian is assuring fans she will be okay as she continues to suffer with a staph infection.
As Gossip Cop reported, Kardashian contracted a staph infection earlier this week, likely due to her visits to Lamar Odom’s bedside at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A rep for the star exclusively told us, “She is getting treatment and will be OK,” noting plans were for Kardashian to rest and take antibiotics. On Thursday, a source close to the situation downplayed reports that the family was in a “panic” over her condition, explaining to Gossip Cop that while “very concerned,” Kardashian was a “trooper” and following doctor’s orders.
On Saturday, Kardashian took to Twitter to offer fans an update. “Staph infection is no joke. Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo. I’m under great medical care & receiving tons of love,” she tweeted.
Kardashian continued, “Please everyone take care of yourselves and pay attention to your bodies!! Be kind and loving to one another! It goes a long way!!” She added in a third and final message, “I appreciate all of your prayers, well wishes and love being sent my way. I’ll be better very soon. I love you guys.”
Kardashian’s tweets came a few hours after Gossip Cop debunked a sensational report that insensitively claimed she was using the staph infection as an “excuse” to “stay away” from Odom and focus on her relationship with James Harden. Gossip Cop wishes Kardashian a speedy recovery and less mean-spirited, speculative stories.
