Khloe Kardashian Lied About Baking Thanksgiving Pies? (PHOTO)
Khloe Kardashian may not be the domestic goddess she claims to be. The reality star boasted over Thanksgiving that she made three pies for the holiday, but her only contribution may have been taking out her credit card. The pies reportedly came from the bakery Sweet Lady Jane, which has several locations in the Los Angeles area.
Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram on Thanksgiving of an impressive holiday spread and claimed she did it all herself. “I am soooo proud of myself lol can I say that?” she captioned the photo. “I love testing myself and seeing what I can accomplish and actually make successfully! Now let’s pray it tastes as great as they look! This monkey bread is going to be so [expletive]ing bomb.”
And, as Gossip Cop reported at the time, she even defended herself when commenters doubted whether she was really the chef behind the delectable treats. “For the people who don’t believe I cooked the stuff. Wait to see it on my app,” she insisted. “Who cares to lie about cooking lol happy Thanksgiving.”
Indeed, Kardashian has since released a video showing how she made the monkey bread. But she’s offered no such evidence for the cherry, pecan, and pumpkin pies. And now TMZ points out that she even laid them out in the exact same order as they’re shown in a photo on Sweet Lady Jane’s website. Kardashian even took photos of the pies sitting in an oven rack as they supposedly cooled, though it is possible she had to heat them, even if they were pre-made.
With the apparent original source of the pies exposed, many of Kardashian’s Instagram followers have since taken to her account to slam her for allegedly fabricating her baking talents. “What a loser! Why would u lie about something so irrelevant?’ wrote one follower. Kardashian, who actually blasted Twitter haters on Tuesday, has not yet responded.
