Khloe Kardashian: Don’t Use My Prayers For Brussels To Spread Hate On My Social Media Pages
Khloe Kardashian lashed out on Tuesday morning after her heartfelt prayers for Brussels led to hateful remarks on her social media pages.
As Gossip Cop reported, Kardashian was one of many celebrities to express sadness in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Belgium. In an Instagram post that was also linked to her Twitter feed, the reality star wrote, “#PrayForUsAll Terrorism is one of the scariest things. It does not function like anything else in this world. The Dalai Lama once said ‘love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.'”
Kardashian added, “The world falls to its knees yet again over terrorism. #PrayForBrussels #PrayForPeace #PrayForUsAll.” But in response, some criticized her for posting about this tragedy and not other recent ones. For instance, one commenter exclaimed, “WHERE WERE YOU WHEN TURKEY WAS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF TERORISM?”
Another wrote, “Such a ignorant post!! crap flag on your status when something bad happens in a western country!! But not a single f*ck is given for other countries that has experienced JUST the same awfulness in the SAME week!! #Pathetic #Ignorance or #Racism!!” And someone else said, “Y’all be like ‘#PrayforBrussels, #prayfortheworld.’ But do u guys actually pray tho? U think by just posting pictures this sh*t is going to end?”
Similarly, on Twitter, one individual replied to Kardashian’s message, “Bitch you keep quite [sic] about Turkey but when its about europe you suddenly become humanist.” A different person said, “Show some support for Turkey where 3 times more ppl died last week due to terrorism!” Another even tweeted, “I am sure if you and you’re scewed up family could profit from it, your pimp of a mother would find a way.”
Those kinds of responses did NOT sit well with Kardashian. Returning to Twitter a few minutes later, she angrily posted, “Too many on my timeline talking about who I am or not praying for. Shut up and focus On the issue. Not about social media!”
“Someone’s always complaining about something,” Kardashian went on. “Get off my page with your ungrateful, negative, mean ass. Y’all hate on ANYTHING.” That prompted messages of support from fans, but also some additional criticism. Kris and Kendall Jenner are among Kardashian’s other family members who have also posted about Brussels so far.
