Khloe Kardashian Announces Book Signing After Canceling Tour
Khloe Kardashian announced a book signing on Thursday, despite previously canceling a tour.
As Gossip Cop reported, Kardashian’s new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, was released on Tuesday. Categorized as a health and fitness offering, the tome offers features the star explaining how she found personal strength. She was expecting to do heavy promotion for it, but that was before husband Lamar Odom’s hospitalization last month.
In the wake of his medical emergency, Kardashian’s book tour was canceled. She even stressed that fact in a Twitter rant last week, after receiving backlash for her People cover story. Accused of using Odom’s crisis for self-promotion, the reality star shot back, “I cancelled my book tour to avoid this attention.”
The attention, of course, never wavered regardless, and now Kardashian will be welcoming it. She revealed in a tweet on Thursday morning, “LA!!!!! The Grove!!!!! My first signing for my book. I’m staying and signing EVERY single book!! Monday its [sic] a date.” The message suggests additional signings in other locations will be announced at a later date.
The news comes one day after it was confirmed “Kocktails with Khloe,” her new talk show on FYI, had its premiere pushed from early December to late January. A source told Gossip Cop that the network made the decision out of consideration of all that Kardashian has “going on” right now. In a Yahoo! interview this week, the star said wanted to keep Odom’s condition private, but it seems like that might be challenging with public appearances.
UPDATE: Kardashian has since tweeted, “I keep getting asked why I cancelled my NYC signings. I will reschedule them but4 the time being I have to stay in LA for personal reasons.” She went on, “More cities will be added for sure my loves! I just have to feel comfortable to leave for a few days. Thank you for understanding.
