Kelsey Grammer reportedly did NOT have a prenuptial agreement.
At one point, Grammer was the highest paid TV star, earning $1.6 million an episode for starring on “Frasier.”
The show began in 1993, and Grammer married four years into the show’s 11-year run, meaning his estranged wife Camille, according to TMZ, would be able to – under California’s community property laws – lay claim to seven years worth of “Frasier” cash, in addition to the show’s syndication dough, and money he made from other series and films during their 13-year marriage.
Grammer’s wife filed for divorce a little more than a week and a half ago.
A lawyer for Grammer released a statement, which says, “The Response filed on behalf of Mr. Grammer merely reflects that some ‘Frasier’ seasons were done prior to the marriage and are, therefore, his separate property under California law. It does not claim that the seasons done during the marriage are not community.”
