Kesha Has NOT “Run Out Of Money,” Despite TMZ Report
Kesha is not running out of money, despite a new inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story, which was spread by a webloid. We’re told it’s “not true,” and Kesha has “plenty of money.”
According to TMZ, which blared in a headline “I’m outta cash,” Kesha has “run out of money” to pay for her legal battle against Dr. Luke, whom she accused of rape. The webloid further claims the singer’s “blaming her financial woes on Dr. Luke,” who it alleges has “withheld royalties from her.” The bottom line, says the outlet, is that Kesha has “virtually no income.”
But TMZ is 100 percent wrong. A well-placed music insider assures Gossip Cop that the webloid’s story is “not true,” and that she has “plenty of money.” As for Dr. Luke supposedly withholding royalties, our impeccable source disputes that as well, noting it wouldn’t behoove the music producer to do anything like that while entrenched in ongoing litigation.
As Gossip Cop reported on Sunday, Taylor Swift gave Kesha $250,000, as her rep noted, “to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time.” It has NOTHING to do whatsoever with Kesha having gone broke, as TMZ wrongly claimed. It was simply Swift’s way of showing support for Kesha, who’s trying to get out of her deal with Dr. Luke’s label at Sony.
