Kesha Denies Being Raped Or Drugged By Dr. Luke In 2011 Deposition Video
Video has emerged of Kesha denying being raped or drugged by Dr. Luke while under oath back in 2011. Watch the footage below.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Kesha filed a bombshell lawsuit against Dr. Luke in 2014, alleging he physically and sexually assaulted her. He responded with a countersuit, accusing both the singer and her mother, Pebe Sebert, of extortion. The producer alleged Kesha and her mom were making up the allegations to get out of her contract with his record label, a subsidiary of Sony.
As the dueling lawsuits have not made much progress, Kesha filed a motion to be released from her recording contract, but her injunction request was denied by a New York judge last Friday. In the wake of that decision, video has now surfaced of Kesha previously denying Dr. Luke had ever assaulted her. The footage is from a taped deposition done in 2011 for an entirely separate lawsuit.
Gossip Cop first reported on the deposition in 2014, but this is the first time video has actually emerged showing the singer refuting sexual abuse allegations against Dr. Luke that were initially made by her mother. As seen in the clip below, when asked under oath if she ever had an “intimate relationship” with the producer, Kesha decisively states, “No.” The singer then adds, “I don’t know what my mother [said]… I know that Dr. Luke never made sexual advances at me.” Also included in the footage below is a segment from Sebert’s deposition, in which she denies ever being told that Dr. Luke had sex with Kesha or slipped her a “date rape drug.”
At the time the deposition was first reported on about a year and a half ago, Kesha’s attorney slammed Dr. Luke’s camp for bringing up the testimony. As Gossip Cop reported, lawyer Mark Geragos said in a statement to us, “Luke’s latest legal maneuver comes as no surprise; it’s a desperate Hail Mary and a pathetic attempt to once again blame his victim. As detailed in our complaint, Luke walked Kesha down the beach and threatened to destroy Kesha’s life and the lives of her family if she didn’t cover up his sexual assaults in a 2011 deposition. He is now following through on his threats and grasping at straws to try and twist Kesha’s coerced statements. Unfortunately protecting abusers out of fear happens all too often with battered women.”
As Gossip Cop also reported, Dr. Luke broke his own silence and spoke for himself for the first time just this week, denying he ever sexually abusing Kesha in a series of tweets on Monday. The producer claimed he’s never had sex with the singer, and that the allegations were fabricated. Watch Kesha’s 2011 deposition video, in which she denies being raped or drugged by Dr. Luke, below.
