Kerry Washington: I Was Desperate To Join Gwyneth Paltrow’s Singing Group In High School (VIDEO)
Kerry Washington revealed on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that she joined her high school’s a cappella group Triple Trio because she really wanted to follow in the footsteps of its former president — Gwyneth Paltrow.
“When I was in junior high school I really wanted to be in Triple Trio because there was this really amazing senior named Gwyneth Paltrow,” she explained.
The “Scandal” star continued, “[Paltrow] was president of Triple Trio, so I really wanted to be president of Triple Trio.”
The two, who both attended the exclusive Spence School in New York City, were never in the group together because, as Washington explained, Paltrow is just a “teeny bit” older.
