Kerry Washington’s Marriage Is NOT “Over,” Despite Report
Kerry Washington’s marriage is NOT “over,” despite a new tabloid claim. In fact, the fiercely private actress and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha quite publicly attended the Met Gala together on Monday, and then hit up Rihanna’s after-party later in the night.
According to the latest issue of In Touch, Washington’s marriage is “ending” after less than two years of marriage. The tabloid quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “She’s already consulted with a divorce attorney and they’re hashing out the details.” The alleged “insider” further says the “Scandal” star “wanted to wait until there was a break in shooting so she could probably go over the paperwork.”
But that’s not all. The magazine claims Washington and Asomugha’s marriage has been “over for a long time,” and that they “fought a lot.” Still, alleges the tabloid, they both agree that divorcing will be what’s best for their one-year-old daughter Isabelle Amarachi.
Of course, the tabloid is wrong, and Washington and Asomugha didn’t go out for a night on the town after she finished going over the “paperwork” for their supposed impending divorce. Gossip Cop is told the couple is “fine,” and that they had a “great time” at the Met Ball and afterwards at Rihanna’s star-studded after-party. Once again, In Touch is out of touch.
