Kenya Moore: Porsha Williams Set Up The Real Housewives Brawl, NeNe Leakes “Threatened” By Me (VIDEO)
Kenya Moore opened up about her decision to press charges against fellow “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Porsha Williams during an appearance on Sunday’s “Watch What Happens Live.” Andy Cohen asked Moore if she thought she was overreacting after Williams’ attacked her during the reunion show.
“You said the black community should be offended by what she did,” said Cohen. “You pressed charges.” Moore stands by her decisions. “I think that being a woman and understanding that we are in a scenario where we knew what this show was about before we signed up for it, we know that this is a group of women, we have differences of opinions and we are able to state what those opinions are, we are able to get angry but there is always some type of resolution in that,” Moore explained to the host.
She continued, “But we always know that even though this is entertainment, this is a show, there is always a line that you do not cross, that’s in life, that’s morally speaking and to have that happen to me, to have it damage me in the way that it did, is really reprehensible.”
Cohen also asked the reality TV star how she felt about Williams’ recent appearance on “The View,” where Williams maintained that Moore’s reunion prop was a “weapon” and discussed filing a counter-suit. “What I’m upset about is the fact that you [Williams] are going around saying that my scepter, a child’s toy, was heavy and it was used as a weapon,” she said. “We all know that I didn’t use that scepter as a weapon.”
“It was something that was silly and playful and it was never used to threaten anyone,” she added. “That was very clear. We were laughing.” Moore tells Cohen that she believes the brawl was a set-up. Williams “intentionally came to do harm,” said Moore, who also talked about NeNe Leakes being “threatened” by Moore’s star power.
