Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest on this week’s “SNL,” hosted by Woody Harrelson. He performed “i.” It’s the first single off his upcoming untitled album, which is rumored to be released in early 2015. Lamar did some fancy dance moves while performing “i” (video below).

The song “i” debuted in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it was released in late September. The song samples a lot from the Isley Brothers’ song, “That Lady,” and the video for it, which came out earlier in November, actually features Ron Isley. While much isn’t known about Lamar’s new album, the singer has noted in different interviews that he was in the studio with Pharrell, Dr. Dre, Rahki, Soundwave and Thundercat, among other producers.

This is the second time Lamar has appeared on “SNL.” Lamar was the musical guest in January 2013 when Adam Levine hosted the show during which he performed “Swimming Pools (Drank).”

Last spring, Lamar and Alicia Keys released “It’s On Again” for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, along with a super action-packed video for the song.

Check out the video below of Lamar’s performance of “i” on “SNL,” and tell us what you think.
