Kendall and Kylie Jenner Set to Write Young Adult Novel

Another day, another new Kardashian-Jenner venture.

On Thursday, the reality clan’s youngest stars, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, revealed they’re writing a young adult novel.

The sisters tell EOnline they’re working with author Maya Sloane on a science-fiction book set 200 years in the future, and are hoping to create a popular series in the same vein as The Hunger Games and Twilight.

The novel’s protagonists will be two sisters, naturally.

The Jenners already struck a deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster, and are planning to finish the project by next summer.

    This kind of sucks to be honest. I want to be a writer. I have a huge passion and love for writing, and I work hard at it. So it’s upsetting to see two people that already have a publisher just because of who are they are and most likely, someone else be doing most of the work. In my opinion, if someone writes something with the intentions that they want it to be a “popular series like Twilight and The Hunger Games” then they don’t truly love writing. It’s just the fame and popularity that they’re after. That’s how I feel about this situation.

    @Lori most books “written” by celebrities or psyuedo ones are ghost written and always have been. thats like If Claire Newman wrote a book about being the child of screen icons it would likely be co-written by her godfather legendary writter Gore Vidal who she would’ve been named after had she been a boy. The Kardashians/Jenners aren’t famous they’re infamous which is totally different celebs are famous for actual talent the Kardashians are infamous for who their father was. Claire for example is the youngest daughter of screen legends Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward who weren’t only lauded for their talent on stage/screen but for their philanthropic work particularly with drug addicted terminally/chronically Ill Children through their serious fun network of camps which is 22 camps in 11 countries including Barretts town in Ireland the children attend for free.

    To anyone who is upset about this, I’m sorry but its time to face reality, this is the way life works: its all about who you know. It sucks but its better to embrace it than upset yourself over it. To Mel, I’m sorry that your big break hasn’t come but when the time is right, it will. But again, you state that these girls don’t truly love writing but they never said they did. They want to be successful. And no matter how many haters they have they’re still gonna be.

    People work years to have anything looked at by someone even remotely associated with a publisher, and these girls already have an estimated date for this little venture. I wish I thought either of them really had what it takes to be a true writer, but even both put together need a cowriter… Oops, my rage is showing ;)

    Write a book? a book, they just don’t seem to be intellectual enough to write a book, But KJ got a real writer to “work with them”, which means take their idea and write a book about it .

    Wow, I didn’t know you had to graduate school to know how to read.
    So, do you go to school with them? Have you met them? Do you actually know them? No.
    They’re probably smarter than you are. Smh.

    Oh and I’m’ sure Stephenie Meyer would appreciate the way you write her name. I hate Twilight and I still know how to spell it.

    The fact that someone who said going to college is a waste of time is now going to “write” a book is more disturbing than Kim’s wedding.
