Kendall and Kylie Jenner: “We Don’t Have Any Desire To Be Kardashians”

Kendall and Kylie Jenner appear in the March issue of Glamour, opening up about their sisters, the paparazzi, and how they really feel about the Kardashian name.

Asked about the pros and cons of leading such a public life, Kylie shares, “Our family is closer because of the show. And when we are older, we’ll have the memories on tape,” noting, “If some of those moments hadn’t been filmed, I wouldn’t remember them!”

Kendall says, “We appreciate everything that we have, but we don’t remember what it’s like to be normal kids who aren’t harassed by the paparazzi. I hate that. We’re underage girls. I don’t want to be followed by random men I don’t know.”

As for what they learn from their older sisters, the teens reveal that Khloe Kardashian is their “peacemaker,” Kourtney keeps them “down to earth,” and Kim teaches them “how to deal with the spotlight.”

Kendall and Kylie also open up to the mag about the male influences in their lives  – namely their brother Rob, Khloe’s husband Lamar Odom, and Kourtney’s longtime boyfriend Scott Disick.

Kylie says, “Rob checks on me at least three times a day, and Lamar wants to meet any guy we’re talking to. Just yesterday Scott was going over the kind of guy I should date.”

So, do the girls really wish their last name was Kardashian, as a number of tabloid rumors have claimed?

Nope!

Kendall tells the magazine, “We’re full-throttle Jenners! We don’t have any desire to be Kardashians.”

“All that matters is that we’re a family,” adds Kylie.

The magazine hits newsstands on February 5.

    You could be normal girls if your mother didn’t whore you out there. Lots of celebrity parents keep their kids grounded and under wraps. Your parents didn’t, hence the cameras in your face. I hope that is all Kim is teaching you.

    so that makes it ok for old grown man to follow them around the streets with cameras hoping for them to fall or make a mistake so they can sell the pictures to perverted magazines that make up stories about them,
    I dont like the kardashians but its not ok for paparazzies to follow underaged girls around.

    There are many women who model, not all of them are house hold names and not all are followed by the papz. They really had no choice but to be in the spotlight, when there parents gave the go ahead for cameras to follow their every movie. These two girls were babies when all of this started, barely teenagers. The choices their parents made has shaped who they have become. Bruce Jenner likes to make out he is the sane parent, but in all honesty how many fathers, would allow men with cameras to follow around their youngest children. All the blame of this family gets put on Kris Jenner, but when it comes down to it there are two parents in that house, both who checked out a long time ago.

    should we really be encouraging more non entities to join the entertainment industry. If you don’t want to attract the attention of older men, then perhaps try dressing and acting less provocatively. Get a real job.

    Actually, almost any women who models seriously is followed around by paparazzi. Just because they’re not a household name does not mean that they’re not followed. The reason they’re not household names is because most households aren’t concerned with high fashion or commercial models whereas Kendall models but is known first and foremost for being a tv personality. But still, they’re followed.
