Kendall Jenner Gets Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker Shavaughn McKenzie
The model returned to her new Hollywood Hills residence and found McKenzie waiting at the end of her driveway. When she opened her security gate to drive through, he followed on foot. From inside her car, Jenner called police, who took McKenzie into custody.
He’s since been charged with misdemeanor stalking and trespassing. On Tuesday, McKenzie pleaded not guilty, and faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for each charge, if convicted. In getting the restraining order, scary new details about the situation were revealed. “I fear for my life and have suffered, and will continue to suffer, emotional distress,” Jenner wrote in her petition.
As it turns out, Jenner was particularly alarmed during Sunday’s incident as it was allegedly not the first time McKenzie has attempted to contact her. He reportedly showed up to the reality star’s Los Angeles condo on multiple occasions, one time allegedly chasing Jenner’s car as she drove away. In this latest instance, he banged on the window of her vehicle, yelling that he wanted to talk.
McKenzie reportedly told Jenner he did not have a gun and raised his hands to show he was weapon-free, but understandably, she was still rightfully frightened. Now the stay-away order prohibits him from coming in contact with Jenner, though as of Wednesday, he was still in jail with bail set at $120,000. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
