Kendall Jenner Home Burglarized, Jewelry Stolen
Kendall Jenner’s home was allegedly burglarized early Thursday, with an estimated $200,000 worth of jewelry stolen. But there is reason to believe the theft may have been an inside job.
It was initially reported that Jenner returned to her residence around 1 a.m. and found jewelry missing from her bedroom. But there was no sign of forced entry. A subsequent report said the model called 911 when she heard a noise in the house, believing a burglar could be inside her home. Police supposedly thoroughly searched the property and found no suspects.
But then the story changed for a third time. In the latest version, Jenner had a party at her Hollywood Hills residence on Wednesday night, but left at some point, despite guests still being at her house. Upon returning, she discovered the missing jewelry, and the person responsible may have had inside knowledge of where the baubles were kept.
It’s unclear which description of events is most accurate, but police are investigating to determine what exactly went down. The alleged crime comes only a month after Alanis Morissette’s Brentwood home was burglarized, with $2 million worth of jewelry reportedly stolen. Prior to that incident, Nicki Minaj’s Los Angeles estate was burglarized and vandalized in February, with $200,000 worth of possessions taken from the residence.
There is currently no indication, however, that any of these crimes are related. In August, an alleged stalker was arrested at Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home after he waited for the model outside the property and followed her inside security gates on foot. Jenner obtained a temporary restraining order against the stalker, and later was granted a five-year restraining order. Now with this latest incident, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is increasing her home security.
