Kendall Jenner’s social media popularity “may be an illusion,” claims In Touch.

The tabloid, which publishes false stories that often turn out to be illusions, reports that the teenage reality TV star’s 7.96 million Twitter followers are not who they appear to be.

“We discovered about 4.6 million of those accounts are ‘fake’ or inactive!” shrieks the outlet, which keeps going after Jenner with fake allegations of its own.

A so-called “source” tells In Touch, “Kendall and her sisters have bought a good amount of their followers.”

Another magazine “source” claims Jenner gets paid $1,000 per tweet for mentioning products.

“She knows the more followers she has, the more she’ll get paid to tweet,” explains the tab’s insider. “She’s money-hungry.”

But while it’s true that celebrities can earn money for endorsing things on Twitter, it’s 100 percent FALSE that Jenner is buying followers.

“The report is bogus,” a Twitter source tells Gossip Cop.

We’re also told that the third-party service In Touch used to determine how many of Jenner’s followers are “inactive” is off the mark when it comes to measuring spam accounts.
