Gossip Girl Star Kelly Rutherford Sued by Private Eye Who Spied on Her Ex-Husband

Kelly Rutherford of “Gossip Girl” is accused of stiffing the private eye she hired to spy on her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch, according to a new lawsuit filed by the investigator.

The actress spied on Giersch in 2010, in the midst of the couple’s ugly split.

Rutherford has explained that she employed the private eye to ensure that her ex was child-proofing his pool and home, among other custody-related matters.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, investigator Edward Banach claims Rutherford owes him $86,249.85 for services rendered, but that the star only paid him $28,214.35.

Banach is now suing both Rutherford and the security company through which he was hired for the $58,000 he says he’s still owed.
