Kelly Ripa ‘Live’ Promotion NOT Earned By Being A “Diva,” Despite Report
Kelly Ripa did NOT earn her promotion to executive producer of “Live” by acting like a “diva,” despite a ridiculous webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
Ripa was recently named producer of her morning talk show, meaning she has more responsibility and say in what goes on behind-the-scenes. However, Celeb Dirty Laundry is now twisting the host’s accomplishment by falsely claiming ABC didn’t actually want to upgrade her, but she instead “somehow managed to promote herself.” Without a single source to back up its purely speculative claim, the site further theorizes Ripa earned her promotion by being a “diva,” displaying “vindictive and immature behavior,” and having a “spiteful nature.” Of course, no one advances in the workplace by acting in such a manner, and the site’s conjecture otherwise is just absurd.
Here’s what’s really happening. Gossip Cop busted CDL just last week for its wrong assertion that Ripa can’t find a replacement co-host for Michael Strahan, and that she “might find herself without a morning talk show” and “in the unemployment line.” The site added, “It will only be a matter of time before she is potentially pink-slipped by ABC.” Of course, the network took the exact opposite action and promoted Ripa. And now in an effort to try and cover its previously false contention, the site is insisting ABC doesn’t like Ripa and only made her a producer because she’s a “diva.” But that baseless and nonsensical claim is simply not true.
Additionally, Gossip Cop was exclusively told last week that Ripa’s relationship with ABC has “never been stronger.” Our reliable insider further assured us potential new co-hosts “have fallen over themselves trying to get on with her.” CDL is seemingly trying to cover its lies with even more lies, but there’s no truth to the site’s latest report about Ripa and her talk show.
