Kelly Ripa NOT Refusing New ‘Live’ Co-Host, Despite Late And Wrong Report
Kelly Ripa is NOT refusing find a permanent new “Live” co-host, despite a late and wrong report that Gossip Cop already debunked. We can once again correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
Former co-host Michael Strahan famously left the morning talk show back in May to become an anchor on “Good Morning America,” but ABC has yet to name his full-time replacement. In the meantime, various celebrities have been joining Ripa as guest hosts. But according to Star, the longtime “Live” host “wants to go solo” and is supposedly “loving the fact that now there’s only one boss on the show: her.”
The outlet further purports that “if Kelly has her way,” the constantly rotating co-hosts “will continue for a long time, if not forever.” “As long as the co-hosts keep changing, that means that Kelly keeps being in charge,” adds the repeatedly discredited tabloid. “She is a lady that likes to have her own way. Kelly is resisting naming anyone to that empty seat.”
Only, Gossip Cop already busted this completely inaccurate story when Star’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, made the same false claim last week. That magazine wrongly reported Ripa didn’t want a full-time “Live” replacement, but we were exclusively assured by a rep for the talk show host that the entire article was simply “false.” We were further told the network is still in the process of finding Strahan’s replacement, and Ripa is heavily involved in that process.
