Kelly Osbourne Wore $250,000 Manicure to Emmys (PHOTOS)

Kelly Osbourne wore an extremely expensive item to the 2012 Emmys on Sunday — but it’s not the type of accessory you might think.

The “Fashion Police” host donned a $250,000 Black Diamond manicure, courtesy of Los Angeles-based jeweler Azature.

The nail polish contains 267 carats of crushed black diamond powder in each bottle, which explains the quarter-of-a-million-dollar price tag.

Osbourne told E! on the red carpet, “I’ve been so scared to touch anything because its powdered black diamonds… worth $250,000,” adding, “I have not touched a thing all day.”

She also tweeted a photo (below) of the bottle of polish, writing, “Absolutely sh*ting myself to have that much money on my nails!”

    It is her money and she is free to spend it as she wishes, but in this day and age of people struggling, it just smacks of pure selfishness, especially for something temporary. Just because you can do it, does not mean you SHOULD do it.

    No, but she is clearly advertizing for them. Loaned diamonds are different. They can be used over and over again. This is tons of money that will just be thrown away.

    No one should spend money on a product this wasteful and gluttonness. Remember, nail polish chips and gets removed within a week, in which case the whole thing gets rubbed onto a cotton ball and thrown out. I don’t see anything wrong with $250,000 rings or other jewelry, that’s an investment that can be sold, inherited, etc. But for nail polish? Again, ridiculous and speaks poorly of the character of anyone that would wear it.

    She probably didn’t have to pay for her manicure. A lot of celebrities borrow or are given accessories to wear on the red carpet to get publicity for the designer. She said it’s “worth” a quarter of a million dollars. She did not say she spent it.

    Feeling like a queen or king shouldn’t be about what you wear, I feel like a queen every day and I don’t have money but I do have 5 beautiful children that love me, an amazing fiance that adores me and true friends. 250,000 dollars can’t buy this but it can buy flashy finger nail polish that going to wear off in a few days leaving you wondering if it was really worth it or not. Even known she didn’t pay for the polish she is still supporting it and this means she’s supporting someone else’s carelessness. I feel that these stars have forgotten who helped make them who they are today. Instead of stars and big companies putting themselves on pedestals they should be showing some kind of appreciation to the fans that put the stars on the pedestal before they had money by liking them and believing in them. We are the ones that bought their c.d’s, movies, clothes, ect: that gave them the money that they have today…wonder how much they would make without us??? Instead of the senseless spending they should be helping out the people that helped make them who they are today.
