Kelly Clarkson, Billy Gilman “The Voice” Finale Video: Watch “It’s Quiet Uptown” Performance
Kelly Clarkson and Billy Gilman performed “It’s Quiet Uptown” from Hamilton on “The Voice” finale on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, “It’s Quiet Uptown” is a stirring ballad from the hit Broadway musical. For The Hamilton Mixtape, which came out earlier this month, Clarkson was tasked with recording her own version of her emotional song. Upon its release, the interpretation received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
Clarkson performed “It’s Quiet Uptown” on the “Today” show last week, marking the first TV performance of her rendition. Now the song is getting a third reworking thanks to “The Voice.” Rather than Clarkson doing the song solo, she teamed up with finalist Gilman to perform it as a duet.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Gilman has been one of the frontrunners during season 11 of the NBC competition. But he wasn’t the only member of the Top 4 to get a duet partner. We McDonald was paired up with John Legend, Josh Gallagher sang with Cam, and Sundance Head hit the stage with KIIS. And although Clarkson was the very first “American Idol” winner, she’s no stranger to “The Voice.”
The superstar served as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team all the way back in season 2. Check out full video of Clarkson’s performance with Gilman shortly below!
